Job Summary

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) is responsible for managing all government-related transactions and ensuring compliance with UAE labor, immigration, licensing, and regulatory requirements. The role acts as the liaison between the company and UAE government authorities, handling employee visas, labor permits, trade licenses, legal documentation, and other corporate administrative processes.

Key Responsibilities

Government Relations

  • Liaise with UAE government authorities, including:

    • UAE Immigration (GDRFA/ICP)
    • UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE)
    • Department of Economy & Tourism (DET/DED)
    • Free Zone Authorities
    • Municipalities and other regulatory bodies
  • Maintain professional relationships with government departments to ensure smooth processing of company matters.

Visa & Immigration Services

  • Process employment, residence, dependent, and visit visas.
  • Handle visa renewals, cancellations, status changes, and transfers.
  • Coordinate Emirates ID applications, renewals, medical tests, and biometric appointments.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee immigration documents and expiry dates.

Labor & Compliance

  • Process labor contracts, work permits, and employee onboarding/offboarding formalities.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE labor laws and immigration regulations.
  • Monitor legal deadlines and prevent penalties or violations.

Trade License & Corporate Documentation

  • Manage company trade license issuance, renewal, amendment, and cancellation.
  • Process Establishment Cards, Ejari renewals, permits, and other corporate registrations.
  • Prepare and submit government applications, official letters, and supporting documents.
  • Coordinate document attestation, notarization, legalization, and translation services.

Administrative Support

  • Maintain company legal files and compliance records.
  • Track visa, license, and permit expiry dates.
  • Assist management with company formation, branch registrations, and business setup requirements.
  • Prepare periodic reports on government transactions and compliance status.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources, Public Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of UAE experience as a PRO or Government Relations Officer.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE labor laws, immigration procedures, and licensing requirements.
  • Experience with government portals such as MOHRE, ICP, GDRFA, and Free Zone systems.
  • Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Valid UAE driving license preferred.
