Full job description


We are looking for a result-driven Business Development Professional specifically with Lifesciences background for our newly set-up Precision Oncology laboratory and support our global Bioinformatics program. The right candidate will be responsible for not only developing a team, but also willing to aggressively pursue sales opportunities for this innovative start-up company. From developing new business to developing account management, this role is focused on driving successful, profitable growth.


  • Pursue new business opportunities within target industries and customer groups
  • Nurturing and adding to the existing portfolio of Life Sciences clients through strong rapport building via cold calls and proactive outbound pitches
  • Primarily maintaining the strong existing client relationships with regular engagement and communication
  • As a secondary priority, growing the accounts by approaching new stakeholders with a bold approach, pitching new business opportunities and owning the entire process
  • Identifying buying points, pitching qualified leads and booking a targeted number of meetings per quarter, keeping in mind the goal of increasing revenue
  • You will work closely with our Management/Stakeholders to build a scalable and profitable commercial strategy through offering recommendations of ways to generate leads and identifying new sales avenues, backed up by experience as well as bringing evidence-based insights and ideas for future growth
  • You will support our Life Science Operations team by working on commercial campaigns and commercial outcomes to RFQs (response for quotes) through close contact with the senior Life Science stakeholders
  • Interfaces with the customer service representatives to ensure consistent and timely responses to questions, challenges with reports, etc.
  • Mentors sales team members to successfully meeting targets
  • Development and maintain high level client relationships through regular face to face meetings
  • Provide feedback and analysis to operations to improve/adjust/expand any Marketing strategies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, example: attend trade shows, present capabilities.
  • Able to provide senior management with client overviews
  • Create appropriate marketing content with compelling messaging across multiple channels, including digital (social media, web, video, etc.), sales, events and print
  • Develop sales training and customer education material in collaboration with product management, R&D and commercial teams
  • Stay up to date with latest discoveries in the industries and share your expertise both within and beyond the bioscience group.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical or Life Science or related discipline with 5+ years of scientific industry experience
  • Achieved at least 5 years of Sales Experience gained in B2B with a history of overachieving targets
  • Have 5 years of experience in the Life Science sector, Clinical Laboratory and/or Healthcare Industry
  • Self starter and Independent
  • Having an entrepreneurial mindset and willing to go the extra mile to service clients
  • Natural drive and determination to succeed
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, negotiating and collaboration skills.
  • Resilience, competitive spirit and ability to self-manage and motivate
  • Winning attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills is a MUST

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED10,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)


  • Business Development in Life Science and/or Healthcare: 5 years (Required)
  • Medical or Life Science Business Development: 5 years (Required)
