Job Role: Anaesthesia Technician

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Anesthesia Technician to join our healthcare team in Naoero. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting anesthesiologists during surgical and medical procedures and ensuring anesthesia equipment is properly prepared, maintained, and available.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and check anesthesia machines, equipment, and supplies before procedures.
• Assist anesthesiologists during surgical and diagnostic procedures.
• Maintain and monitor anesthesia equipment and ensure it is functioning properly.
• Prepare and manage anesthesia medications and supplies as directed.
• Clean, sterilize, and maintain anesthesia equipment according to hospital protocols.
• Ensure adequate stock of anesthesia and emergency supplies.
• Assist with troubleshooting and reporting equipment issues.
• Follow infection control, health and safety, and hospital procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Requirements:

• Diploma or relevant qualification in Anesthesia Technology/Anesthesia Technician.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as an Anesthesia Technician.
• Experience in an operating theatre or hospital setting.
• Good knowledge of anesthesia equipment, instruments, and procedures.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Willingness to relocate to Naoero.
