About Us:
Hako Sushi is one of Dubai’s most popular Japanese restaurants, renowned for serving fresh, high-quality sushi and authentic Japanese dishes for over a decade. Located in the heart of JLT, we take pride in our dedication to craftsmanship, consistency, and delivering a warm, friendly dining experience for every guest. We are now seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our energetic and passionate kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support chefs in daily food preparation and service.
  • Clean, cut, and prepare vegetables, seafood, and other ingredients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, tools, and utensils.
  • Wash dishes, sanitize kitchen surfaces, and ensure hygiene standards are always met.
  • Assist in basic cooking or plating under the chef’s supervision.
  • Receive and store supplies properly, ensuring freshness and quality.
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations as per Dubai Municipality standards.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Japanese or Asian restaurant is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and food handling.
  • Able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the restaurant.
  • Flexibility with working hours, including weekends and holidays.
