Role Description
This is a part-time remote role as an Online Tutor at Filo. As an Online Tutor, you will provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring sessions to students across various subjects based on your area of expertise.
You will help students understand key concepts, clarify doubts, solve problems, and strengthen their academic performance and confidence. Responsibilities include preparing for sessions, delivering interactive and engaging lessons, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual student needs, addressing students' questions promptly, and fostering a positive, student-centered learning environment that encourages critical thinking and academic growth.
Qualifications
- Strong subject matter expertise in your chosen subject(s)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly and effectively
- Ability to simplify complex topics and demonstrate structured problem-solving approaches
- Experience teaching school-level or higher-level curricula ( IB, IGCSE, AP, or other international boards is a plus)
- Familiarity with e-learning platforms and online teaching tools
- Patience, adaptability, and a passion for teaching
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional teaching setup
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degrees are a plus
- Prior tutoring or classroom teaching experience preferred
