Job Summary
The Pastry Chef is responsible for preparing, baking, decorating, and presenting high-quality pastries, cakes, desserts, breads, and other baked products in accordance with company standards. The role ensures consistency, food safety, quality control, and efficient kitchen operations while maintaining creativity and innovation in pastry production.
Key Responsibilities Food Preparation & Production
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, breads, cookies, desserts, and specialty baked products.
- Decorate cakes and desserts according to company standards and customer requirements.
- Ensure all pastry items are prepared and presented consistently and attractively.
- Develop new dessert recipes and seasonal menu items.
- Monitor product quality, freshness, and taste.
Kitchen Operations
- Organize and manage daily pastry production schedules.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and finished products.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the pastry section.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate ingredient requisitions.
- Minimize food waste and control production costs.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Certificate in Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, dessert preparation, and cake decoration.
- Familiarity with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and creativity.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
