Full job description
- Knowledge of SAFE and ETABS software's.
- Design and analyze structural components and systems for buildings, bridges, and other structures
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure structural integrity and compliance with codes
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to develop structural designs
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and reports for construction projects
- Use computer-aided design (CAD) software and other tools for structural analysis and modeling
- Evaluate the strength, stability, and rigidity of structures using engineering principles and methods
- Recommend materials and construction techniques based on project requirements and cost considerations
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and regulations
- Perform risk assessments and propose solutions to mitigate potential structural failures
- Supervise on-site construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications and safety standards
- Investigate and diagnose structural issues and failures, providing recommendations for repairs or modifications
- Prepare and present technical reports and documentation for clients and stakeholders
