Job Title: QS Engineer – Interior Fit-Out

Job Summary
The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all costs related to interior fit-out projects, from tendering and procurement through project execution and final account settlement. The role ensures projects are completed within budget while maintaining quality standards and contractual compliance.
Key ResponsibilitiesPre-Contract Activities
- Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
- Analyze tender documents and prepare cost estimates.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Assist in preparing competitive tender submissions.
- Conduct value engineering and cost optimization exercises.
Contract Administration
- Review contract documents and identify commercial risks.
- Monitor contractual obligations and project variations.
- Prepare and manage subcontract agreements.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
Cost Management
- Prepare project budgets and cost plans.
- Monitor project costs against approved budgets.
- Track material, labor, and subcontractor expenditures.
- Prepare monthly cost reports and cash flow forecasts.
- Identify potential cost overruns and recommend corrective actions.
Measurement & Valuation
- Measure completed work and prepare interim payment applications.
- Evaluate subcontractor claims and payment certificates.
- Assess variations, change orders, and additional works.
- Prepare final accounts and project closeout documentation.
Procurement
- Coordinate procurement of materials and subcontract packages.
- Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Compare quotations and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Monitor procurement schedules to support project timelines.
Project Coordination
- Work closely with project managers, designers, and site engineers.
- Attend project meetings and provide commercial updates.
- Support site teams with quantity and cost-related matters.
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
RequirementsEducation
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience
- 2 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in interior fit-out, joinery, and commercial/residential projects.
- Experience in UAE/GCC fit-out projects is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in quantity take-off and cost estimation.
- Strong knowledge of fit-out materials, finishes, and construction methods.
- Familiarity with FIDIC and construction contracts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying software.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Soft Skills

Preferred Experience

- Accuracy of cost estimates.

- Timely submission of valuations and variation claims.
- Cost savings achieved through procurement and value engineering.

Visa Status:
Candidates currently residing in the UAE are preferred.
Preference will be given to candidates holding a Dependent Visa or Spouse Visa with a valid No Objection Certificate (NOC), if required.
Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
