Procurement Assistant (Junior)

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer for Junior Procurement Assistant positions (Procurement Department)
Location: Abu Dhabi

Job Summary:
We are seeking dynamic and motivated Mechanical Engineers to join our Head Office (Mussafah) in our procurement department. The ideal candidate will play a key role in coordinating engineering operations, supporting procurement activities and ensuring smooth inter-departmental procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Ø Assisting in sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotations for marine materials and services

Ø Preparing and processing purchase requisitions and purchase orders in line with company procedures

Ø Coordinating with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services

Ø Maintaining and update procurement records, vendor databases and documentation

Ø Reviewing purchase requests for accuracy, completeness and proper approvals

Ø Supporting the preparation of bid documents and evaluation of supplier proposals

Ø Monitoring order status and follow-up on pending deliveries

Ø Ensuring compliance with company policies and procurement procedures

Ø Assisting in price comparisons, cost analysis and cost- negotiation with suppliers

Ø Coordinating finance and warehouse teams for invoice verification and inventory updates

Ø Perform general administrative support to the procurement department

Ø Other task as assigned by the procurement manager

Requirements:

Ø Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (Mandatory)

Ø 01–03 years of relevant experience in marine, mechanical or related industry

Ø Strong communication skills in English (both written and spoken)

Ø Proficiency in MS Office applications; ERP knowledge is an advantage

Ø Strong negotiation, coordination, organizational and multitasking abilities are preferred

Preferred Criteria:

• Experience in coordination in procurement engineering industry is must
• Good understanding of vendor management and purchasing procedures
• Immediate joiners and candidates on Visit Visa or Cancelled Visa shall be preferred first

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
