  • Operate Water Treatment Equipment:
  • Control and monitor the operation of water treatment processes, including filtration, chemical treatment, and disinfection systems.
  • Adjust and regulate equipment settings to optimize water treatment efficiency.
  • Conduct Water Quality Tests:
  • Collect samples of water from various points in the treatment process.
  • Perform laboratory tests to analyze water quality, including pH levels, turbidity, chlorine levels, and other relevant parameters.
  • Chemical Handling and Dosage:
  • Handle and mix chemicals used in the water treatment process.
  • Calculate and adjust chemical dosages based on water quality test results and operational requirements.
  • Maintain Equipment:
  • Conduct routine maintenance on water treatment equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, performing repairs or coordinating maintenance with relevant personnel.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of water treatment operations, including test results, chemical usage, and equipment maintenance.
  • Generate reports for regulatory compliance and internal documentation.
  • Compliance with Regulations:
  • Stay informed about and adhere to local, state, and federal regulations related to water quality and treatment processes.
  • Implement necessary changes to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Emergency Response:
  • Respond to emergencies, such as equipment failures or water quality issues, in a timely and effective manner.
  • Implement contingency plans to address unexpected situations.
  • Communication:
  • Communicate with other water treatment staff, supervisors, and external agencies as needed.
  • Provide information to the public regarding water quality and treatment processes when required.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements in the water treatment system.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and new technologies in water treatment.
