The role of the Legal Affairs Senior Specialist is to ensure Legal compliance and provide proactive legal assistance and advice on various legal subjects.

Main roles & responsibilities

  • Draft, review and negotiate Agreements and documents (including but not limited to project terms and conditions, corporate Agreements, suppliers, non-disclosure Agreements and other Contracts relating to the University’s activities) to ensure that the University’s best Contractual and beneficial position is attained.
  • Undertake policy and procedure analysis; assisting in implementation of policy decisions through changes to administrative system interpreting legislative decisions.
  • Review reports and other University’s activities assigned by the Chancellor office.
  • Refer to legal aspects related to intellectual property, offering programs internationally, etc., while taking into consideration HBMSU distinguished nature as a smart university.
  • Oversee setting the scientific context and the knowledge structure for reports, memoranda, circulars and other communications issued by the Chancellor’s office.
  • Suggest measures and procedures for the support of the University’s Legal Affairs practice and assure optimum protection of the University interests.
  • Preparation of cases to defend the University before Judicial Bodies and reports required by Governmental Authorities concerned in relation to the process and operation of the University.
  • Review and advise management on legal implications of internal policies and procedures.
  • Review all Contracts and any other documentations where the University has committed itself and assess legal implications that need to be brought to the executive management’s attention.
  • Pre-empt and minimize legal and regulatory risks and costs for University due to Regulatory non-compliance related issues.
  • Ensure the drafting of legal documents such as Contracts, Power of Attorneys, Agreements, etc. for University is done in a timely accurate manner.
  • Interact closely with personnel at all levels of the University’s project managers, business executives and support units, as to their needs and requirements.
