Job Summary

The Medical Transcriptionist is responsible for accurately transcribing, reviewing, editing, and formatting medical reports dictated by physicians and other healthcare professionals. The role ensures that all medical documentation is complete, accurate, confidential, and compliant with applicable healthcare regulations and organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transcribe medical dictations, including patient histories, consultation notes, discharge summaries, operative reports, and diagnostic reports.
  • Review and edit transcribed documents for accuracy, grammar, spelling, and medical terminology.
  • Ensure timely completion of transcription assignments while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Verify patient information and clarify inconsistencies with physicians or relevant departments when necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of patient health information in accordance with applicable privacy regulations.
  • Upload and organize completed reports into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  • Assist healthcare providers with documentation corrections and amendments as required.
  • Maintain familiarity with medical abbreviations, terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and clinical procedures.
  • Adhere to established quality assurance standards and departmental turnaround times.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in training programs as required.

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,500.00 per month
