Full job description

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Technician to carry out maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment at industrial facilities, preferably oil terminals, tank farms and pump house installations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, breakdown and routine maintenance of mechanical equipment.
  • Inspect, maintain and troubleshoot pumps, valves, generators, motors and rotating equipment.
  • Carry out dismantling, assembly, alignment, lubrication and replacement of mechanical components.
  • Assist with piping repairs, fabrication, equipment installation and modification works.
  • Identify mechanical faults and carry out timely repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Follow maintenance procedures, checklists and equipment history records.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and operations teams during maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE, Permit to Work (PTW), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and industrial safety procedures.

Qualification & Experience

  • ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical qualification preferred.
  • 2–5 years of relevant industrial maintenance experience, preferably in oil terminals, tank farms, pump houses or similar facilities.
  • Hands-on experience in pumps, valves, rotating equipment and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of piping, fabrication and equipment alignment is an advantage.
  • Ability to read basic mechanical drawings and follow maintenance procedures.
  • Good understanding of industrial safety and maintenance practices.

  • Diploma (Required)

Experience:

  • Oil Terminals/Tank farms/Pump Houses: 2 years (Required)
  • Mechanical Technician: 2 years (Required)
