From traditional bibimbap to modern fusion dishes, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences that celebrate Korean culture and cuisine. As we expand our footprint and explore new opportunities, we need a skilled legal advisor to help us navigate contracts, regulations, and business agreements with confidence.

We are seeking a freelance Legal Advisor to provide flexible, on-demand legal support for our growing restaurant business. You will advise on a range of matters including supplier contracts, employment agreements, lease reviews, licensing, and regulatory compliance. This is a project-based, remote-friendly role ideal for a legal professional who enjoys variety and wants to partner with a dynamic, growing brand.

Responsibilities

  • Review, draft, and negotiate supplier and vendor contracts to ensure favorable terms.
  • Advise on employment agreements, staff policies, and labor law compliance in the UAE.
  • Review commercial lease agreements and assist with landlord negotiations.
  • Ensure compliance with Dubai hospitality regulations, licensing requirements, and food safety laws.
  • Provide guidance on intellectual property matters, including trademark protection for our brand.
  • Assist with franchise or expansion agreements as the business grows.
  • Advise on risk management and dispute resolution strategies.
  • Remain accessible for urgent legal questions or document reviews on an as-needed basis.

Experience

  • Law degree and active license to practice in the UAE (or common law qualification with strong UAE experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of legal experience, with exposure to commercial contracts, employment law, or the hospitality sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Dubai regulations, including DED, Dubai Municipality, and tourism authority requirements.
  • Experience working with restaurants, F&B businesses, or retail operations is highly desirable.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical advice for business owners.
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently on a freelance basis.
  • Fluency in English required; Korean language skills are a plus given our concept.
