This position is for Store Supervisor (in a shop) (Please ignore the heading).

Salary range offered: AED 2,500/- to AED 3,000/- (all inclusive).* Please DO NOT APPLY *if you are not okay with the salary.

Overall Responsibility:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of a shop or retail department, ensuring smooth functioning and achievement of sales targets.

Key Duties:

  • Team Management:

o Lead, motivate, and train staff on proper work procedures, safety protocols, and customer service techniques.

o Create and manage staff schedules, ensuring proper staffing levels to meet customer demand.

o Training new employees on company policies, procedures, and work ethics

o Overseeing salespeople, cashiers, shelf stockers, and other employees.

o Conduct performance appraisals and provide constructive feedback to employees and resolving employee issues.

o Address employee concerns and conflicts effectively.

o Motivating employees to achieve targets.

o Conducts daily and weekly meetings with the staff and Manager to review activities, activities, and schedules.

  • Inventory Management:

o Monitor stock levels and place orders for new merchandise based on demand and sales forecasts.

o Evaluating the supply and availability of stocks, and profit-margins.

o Receive and organize deliveries, ensuring accurate inventory records.

o Maintain product displays and present merchandise in a visually appealing and engaging manner.

o Implement measures to prevent stock loss, damage, shrinkage, theft, and wastage.

  • Finance/Accounting:

o Reconciliation of Sales, Cash and Card Reports and performing daily closing,

o Preparing Expense Reports, Daily Reports etc.

o Working with the accounting/finance department to ensure compliance.

  • Customer Service:

o Resolve customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.

o Assist customers with product selection and answer questions about available goods.

o Handle cash transactions and ensure accurate closing procedures.

o Investigating market trends and offering products that would appeal to customers

  • Operations and Sales:

o Monitor sales performance and analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement.

o Implement strategies to boost sales and meet sales targets.

o Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment.

o Comply with company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.

  • Additional Responsibilities:

o May handle cash handling and banking procedures.

o May create reports and submit data to upper management.

o May be involved in recruitment and interviewing new staff.

o Stay informed about new products and industry trends.

o Keep open lines of communication with upper management

o Attend mandatory corporate meetings and training sessions.

o Any other task assigned by the superiors.

· Eligibility and Requirements:

  • Education: Minimum High School education (10+2). Bachelor’s degree with Accounting/Finance/Business Administration will be preferred.
  • Experience:

· At least 2 years’ experience as Shop/Store Supervisor/Manager, preferably in retail business.

· At least one year’s experience in Point-of-Sale software.

· In-depth knowledge of product and consumer trends, and marketing strategies.

· Exceptional interpersonal skills in dealing with employees and customers.

· Proficiency with spreadsheet and word processing software.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Familiarity with applicable labor laws, and retail health and safety standards.

Required Skills:

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Strong leadership and team management abilities.

· Experience in retail sales and customer service.

· Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising techniques.

· Proficiency in using cash register systems and other point-of-sale technology.

· Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
