Business Sweden, The Swedish Trade & Invest Council, is seeking a highly motivated and result-originated Project Manager who is eager to be part of our talented team in the UAE part of Middle East. As a team we advise both Large- & Mid-sized companies as well as Start-ups on how to capture the growth opportunities in the Middle East.

As a Project Manager your main area of work is to lead teams and working close with our clients in the Middle East. You are responsible for building strong client relationships, manage all aspects of client projects, from inception to successful completion, on time and within budget, lead and motivate project teams, manage project risks ensuring clear communication and collaboration. As a project manager, you are expected to scope and sell projects and services to our clients. As a project manager at Business Sweden, you interact with a wide range of stakeholders within client organisations as well as governmental agencies, academia, and Business Sweden colleagues around the world. You report to the Trade Commissioner and the position is based in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.


Who we are looking for:

  • You have a relevant higher degree in business management or relevant field.
  • You have a minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience within the management consulting, strategy departments from the private sector or sales and business development departments.
  • Competence, experience and a network from Energy and/or Transport industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • You have experience of leading and coaching consultant teams and prior experience from an international environment, proven track record of leading multinational project teams and working cross-border.
  • Proven track record in sales and the ability to independently drive client dialogues, and take on full sales cycle responsibility, is a must.
  • Experience from living/working in the Middle East is meriting.
  • A high level of proficiency in both written and spoken English is a requirement. Proficiency in Swedish and/or Arabic is positive.

  • Great interpersonal and communication skills. Deliver messages that achieve desired effect in all settings, with all target groups. Ensure that relevant stakeholders are given latest information to help them achieve best possible performance.
  • Result- and customer-oriented. Take responsibility for delivery and efficiently handle own and others’ time and resources. Quickly understand and tackle business situations in a way that maximises outcomes.
  • Can quickly adapt to changing plans and circumstances, lead others to shift focus and energy toward new goals. Ability to keep calm and focused regardless of the situation.
