The role was challenging in that training was very quick and inadequate. Policies were constantly changing and the role is driven by metrics and not client satisfaction. Cultural divide between employees on the phones and those off the phones is extreme.

Underpaid, overworked. Brain numbing

Pass the tests and then leave the company. They will keep you in this role as long as possible. It is nothing but a glorified call center where they track every minute of your day. RUN!

glorified call center

If you’re hired on phones expect nothing but phone call after phone call back to back everyday. you don’t even get a moment to breathe before one call end and the next one is auto answered.

Good learning experience

Compensation is low for the amount of work you will do at higher levels in a client facing capacity. Best thing about the company is the people however overall dealing with the archaic systems in place and overall poor career growth opportunities I would definitely try to review your options if you have any other offers.

Smart and diverse teams

Vanguard attracts great people and all of my teammates are very smart and helpful. Most people genuinely care about helping you. There is also a great work life balance and wellness benefits. There is not much reward for going above and beyond though, which can lead to unsatisfaction with compensation.

its a job

The pay working at this place is pretty decent. It was hybrid for training and then turned to work from home. The hours kinda suck. Feels like im at work all day but then again, im home. its a good "in between' job.

Amazing place to work and invest

Vanguard is everything. Great work environment, great to their customers. stand behind what they say and amazing benefits. Definitely take the time to study and use all the resources if you aren’t licensed, study course is not easy if you aren’t a proactive person.

It's a typical corporate job

Vanguard is one of the most well know companies in finance. While they have great products, it's an okay place to work. The pay isn't great and the opportunities for advancement take a WHILE. The benefits are top notch though.

It's awful

DO NOT WORK HERE. If you do work here only work for the training period which is like 3-4 months while you look for a better job. This role is life sucking, you are answering over like 60 calls a day.

Good Culture

Pros: Good culture, beautiful campus, good benefits, room for growth and advancement.Cons: Overworked and drained, salary could be better. Taking time off can be difficult during certain times.

an OK company; extremely low pay

Was excited to pass all the licensing exams (less than 10 out of 50 ppl in each cohort pass through all 3), but the role is miserable. Extremely low pay that I'm left with only half of my paycheck after rent and bills every month.

Don't do it

This place lures people in with an upfront sign on bonus, but not guaranteed a job if you do not pass the SIE exam, Series 7 and Series 63. Not a great company to hire new grads. Studied for 6 months for an exam to not have a job afterwards.

Training for finra licensing needs to be transformed. The chances of passing your exams through Vanguards teaching methods is extremely difficult. And as a new hire I felt no approachability whatsoever with my onboarding team leader.

Great Atmoshere

lots of phone calls all day long; fast paced; Eastern standard time for certain shifts; lots of OT availability if you're willing to work it; great atmosphere

Love working here

Great benefits, paid training, paid licensing. Great training and materials. Flex Fund, 7.5 hours work. Free lunch on Thursday. Medical benefit is great with HSA.

Great Culture

Awesome people and great pay. It a place that will push you to be better . Love the support from follow team members and from supervisors. Definitely helped me advance in my financial career.

Good Benefits, Low Pay

This is a good company to gain training to pass your series 7 and series 63 licensing exams. However, actual training for your specific role is limited and the technology/website you work with has a lot of issues. Be ready to deal with a lot of frustrated clients. The company is also large and communication between departments is not great.

Great opportunity but my Pass License

This was a great company and the benefits are excellent however they don’t make it very clear that you are fired if you don’t pass the exam. You kind of have to figure out what questions to ask. They just started doing tutoring. Also, the rooms you have to study in are very dirty and dusty although the campus was extremely clean, which was weird. Everyone is pretty friendly, I just believe they should make it more clear they are looking for people with a finance background and not just customer service, it would save them money and others from exhausting there energy studying. But I don’t want all that to take away from the fact that I would do it again under better circumstances.

Tough Job for Some

Thought I could push through in this job to get to a non client facing role, but this job has caused me to get out on anxiety meds. Call center roles are not for everyone, so keep that in mind.

If you wanna learn about investing and the overall stock market, VG is definitely a great company to do it. Learned so much in the past 4 months and they give you all the tools to do so.
