Overworked and undervalued
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) - Sterling, VA - February 22, 2022
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedThe work itself is not too difficult and if there was actual breathing space I’d say this job would be quite ideal. Sadly, the calls are non-stop and they somehow expect you to still be able to be at top performance after back to back calls for hours with only a simple 15 minute break twice a day. Do not work here, it’s seriously not worth your mental health deteriorating.

Unorganized Chaos
Claims Representative (Former Employee) - Pasadena, CA - September 22, 2023
They train you and treat you well in the beginning. Then It takes two weeks to get questions answered by your team lead. The y underpay for the amount of work. That’s why everyone leaves this place. It’s a worker’s compensation mill.

Will get rid of you in a heartbeat
Data Processing Clerk (Former Employee) - Indianapolis, IN - September 21, 2023
The hiring process and who you worked with was a revolving door. They never had enough work and when they ran out or it slowed down they would let people go.

It's ok
Claims Representative (Current Employee) - Somewhere - September 20, 2023
It's ok. Cool people. Friendly. Homelike environment. Good Communication. Sounds like it all depends on your team. I like my team. We work together. Very helpful.

On one hand you're working at home in your own environment, on the other hand it's always busy. The turnover of scr\ctrs is constant.
What is the best part of working at the company? The ability to work from home. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Arbitrary metrics, constant change, What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Very nice, for the most part everyone is very helpful What is a typical day like for you at the company? Get up, go to work , listen to other people's misery, try to help the best you can

New employee
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) - Remote - September 19, 2023
I feel the pay is little low for what we are doing, but working remote is a pro. Still in training, and have a lot to learn but so far training has been fun.

Low pay for the amount of work you do
Leave of Absence (Former Employee) - Remote - September 18, 2023
Low pay. This company does not pay enough and case load is unmanageable. If wondering, starting pay is about $17 an hour and you don’t get a full 40 hours, only 37.50 hours
Pros
Pto
Cons
Pay, benefits, coworkers

Global
Assistante d'expert (Current Employee) - Saint-Herblain (44) - September 17, 2023

Working at Sedgwick as a Call Representative has been an immensely rewarding experience. From day one, I was welcomed into a supportive and collaborative team environment that fostered growth and learning. The company's commitment to employee development is evident through its comprehensive training programs, which equipped me with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in my role.

Good employer
Claims Team Lead (Current Employee) - New York State - September 13, 2023
Heavy work load offset by excellent PTO and good pay. Flex hours are a bonus. I like it here but sometimes it is a tough job. Work is challenging.

Whether or not you have a good or bad work experience is determined by the team that you are a part of.
Workforce Absence Care Team Representative (Former Employee) - Telecommuter - September 13, 2023

High stress and burnout is typical
Claims Examiner (Former Employee) - Columbus, OH - September 13, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Generous PTO which is pro-rated from start date What is the most stressful part about working at the company? There is virtually no coverage while on vacation/out of the office, so returning from time off is stressful. There is no assistance for claims examiners who are expected to handle every aspect of claims handling in addition to all administrative tasks. A company wide announcement was made to make a majority of workers teleworks, but then the consort backtracked and went to a hybrid model for only a select number of people, it wasn’t implemented across the board. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Not a welcoming or friendly atmosphere What is a typical day like for you at the company? High pressure to complete tasks that will show up on reports and little value is given to quality of work over quantity

A mess
Claims Representative (Current Employee) - Charlotte, NC - September 13, 2023
Waaayy to much work for little pay these employees work very hard and are good at what they do. But is not payed for it they do not give holiday pay no bonuses. They gave me a $20 gift card at Christmas time. Communication is a mess training is also a mess they expect you to know how to do things that you were not trained for. The only pro about this job is that it’s remote that’s it

good starter role
Care Center Representative (Current Employee) - Remote - September 12, 2023
a good way to get into the company and learn what other roles might interest you. There is a lot of miscommunication regarding the rules/process for different tasks.

Underpaid, all work is given to hard working employees
Leave of Absence (Current Employee) - Irving, TX - September 11, 2023
Worst place I have ever worked for. Management takes advantage of people who work hard. Employees who do not finish their work are better off since all that unfinished work is passed on to hard working individuals. Manager is really rude and does not know how to talk to her employees. Too much work for low pay when other companies pay alot more for the same position. I would leave my position right away if I find another job for peace of mind and where I am not taken advantage of by pushing all these useless employee's work on me.
Pros
No pros, place is horrible
Cons
Rude manager, forced to do over time for completing others work

Workloads
Claims Examiner (Current Employee) - Las Vegas, NV - September 10, 2023
The work loads are too much for one person to do in a day. With little training. Most of the time you basically just have to guess what a certain client specifically needs. Yes there is a CSI for some clients. But not all and the questions we have aren't answered in the CSI. Training would be nice when assigned. Less mistakes could be made. But communication is minimal in that area

Terrible training
WC Claims Adjuster (Current Employee) - Marlton, NJ - September 7, 2023
They expect you to know everything and give you your own claims within 2 weeks of working there and there is little to no help in training you at all.

Good vibe/ lots of work
Claims Adjuster (Current Employee) - Inland Empire, CA - September 6, 2023
Low pay for the amount of work when you're an adjuster. They could use better training and they seem to pick and choose who they want to promote. Office assistants have no chance to move up.
