Horrible Sales Culture

The sales goal are insane. Phone call goal is way too much. Management is bad. Upper management is even worse. Good benefits but not enough for what you are expected to do.

Not what you’d expect it to be

Definitely not what you would expect. Each branch has different policies and procedures that do not align with the corporate way of training. Training is only there as a liability to regions to say they have “trained” you when in reality, after you sit behind a computer for 2 weeks taking 100 different online training modules, they throw you in the fire and there’s no way to retain the things you learned the previous two weeks. It’s only for regions protection and not to help you as an employee. Also their customers are the most rude ones ever.

Pros

Decent hours but not much better than normal 9-5

Cons

Rude customers and unrealistic expectations

Get the experience and leave

Typical day is controlled by micromanagers from when you use the restroom, when you eat, and what you do each minute of the day is accounted for and you will have to tell management why you have not met your daily goal even if there's no customers walking in. Each location has this culture, you either make friends or enemies with management. This will determine your advancement. Making friends with management would also mean your teammates will not like you. Vacation time ( PTO) is around 2 weeks for new employees after 90 days but even after your probation period you will have to beg to request off. Regions management and HR is not supportive, everyone knows everyone so do NOT think about contacting HR they will find a way to FIRE you or convince you they have your back, this would only create conflict. Also document all conversations via email with your manager. Most managers are moved up based upon shadiness and lack of morals. Tellers are overworked and underpaid unless your have family there or know someone who will help you get the pay you deserve. The worse location of them ALL is the MAIN headquarters location well ALL Birmingham locations are awful. There's high turnover for staff for a reason. Use the job to get experience and GET OUT !!!

Don't Do It

I can honestly say this is the most draining job Ive ever had. Constant calls and monitoring. Micromanaging thats out of control. Employees quit daily and they have big groups of new employees weekly like 30 and by the time training is over only 8 have decided to stay. they do have good benefits but cant keep employees

High sales pressure

Had multiple calls per day to discuss quotas, going out to businesses, etc. Upper management didn’t seem to care to know you personally. Everything was about numbers

Culture

it’s truly supportive and it’s a team effort. Senior management is hands on in a good way. Community bank feel with the resources of a very large bank.

Pros

Team

Cons

staffing

Is Indeed your favorite place to learn about companies?

Decent place to work

With the exception of very heavy handed HR tactics, this is a good company. Good work life balance and decent pay. Always changing bonus structure to suit management instead of front line employees.

Good company with good benefits

Good company but opportunities to be promoted could be better. Great benefits and paid time off. Coworkers and management are friendly and easy to get along with.

Self Driven Opportunity Available

If you are a go getter Regions can work for you. Figuring things out in your own and networking is a must. It's there, you have to hoop jump. The systems are a little difficult to make your way through in regards to firing the needed information but it's there. It's luck of the draw when it's comes to your manager and team lead. Love my manager but had to work at it with team lead, we're good now. Lots of turn over. You have to fight to get your main objectives complete. Set your appointments and let the place burn down if so be it, so you get your job done.

Productive workplace.

For the most part working at Regions was fun, educational and enjoyable. There were times though when it wasn't, but those times were few and far between. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Regions.

Corporate Ladder Stinks

Worked here for over 7 years. The bigger the company gets, the less personal the company becomes.Pay is terrible for financial industry - keep in mind it's been 10 years since I worked there - but dealing with millions of dollars a day - they could pay their employees much more.

It’s a terrible place to work

When I started working at Regions, I came with all of the expectations to succeed, but the branch that i got dont have any culture or sense of how to work as a Team, it is too much pressure, the manager do not cooperate and always give you bad vibes, saying that is following regions culture.I DONT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO WORK ON THIS COMPANY

Forever Changing

Regions is a good company however with every company there are flaws. They are forever changing methods and it makes the job quite confusing at times. Benefits are great and the management just have titles and no authority.

Good pay Good Team Bad Structure

Good pay for positions and great team atmosphere and coaching, but could you a strong upper management restructure and goal outline. Sales goals are still a thing and tend to bring less focus on customer satisfaction

Not a bad place to work

Love the job but since covid hit turn around rate is higher. Means short staffed constantly and more work on yourself. If full staffed the. It’s easy to make Your goals and bonus.
