The job is what you put into it. If you care and want to learn you’ll have management ready to give you the resources needed to be successful. Also, upper management isn’t rigid. Everyone’s ready to grow and learn.

Unrealistic expectations

Unrealistic expectations in all roles and all levels. Decent pay but not great . Benefits were ok, but they get cut all the time. Don't plan to have a career but it might be a good stepping stone to another company

Unattainable

Workload is out of control, not enough training, poor management. Would not recommend this role. Other roles in the company are better. Would not suggest this to someone as their "get in the door" job. Suggest Processing Specialist I.

Fast paced environment
Customer Care Specialist Dental Contact Center (Current Employee) - Des Moines, IA - September 23, 2022
They don't give you enough training to do the job you are expected to do and once training is done they send you out to take calls and after training is done you get Quality Review meetings & scores on your calls. what you learn in training gets totally changed once you start taking calls & you feel very overwhelmed and completely un-trained. Pay is good but a lot of turn over - people leaving due to being mis lead as to the job description provided to you in the interview. You are expected to hit a certain quota for the length of your calls which is a ridiculously low amount of time that is impossible to attain. It's very difficult to get any time off for anything you need time off for & if you choose to take the time off anyway that isn't approved you get an occurrence and your only allowed a total of 4 occurrences & they don't fall off for 6 months from the date of when you call in.

Productive, great mangement

Remote position for New Business area, great pay and management was very caring and friendly. Took calls and help clients do medical Application for life and disability insurance. Lots of ways to grow with Principal. Training is great!

If you want to advance, get raises, promotions, move to the area most appropriate to your abilities, work hard, make a development plan with your boss or mentor, read and improve based on your quarterly reviews, and you can be a great success. They make it like paint by numbers. Just do what they train you to do.. and be nice.

Some people get bored. I didn't, I used extra time to bond with coworkers and work on value added projects.

Nice company overall- lots of turnover in claims and the work is demanding and pay is average at best. Good people across the company. Benefits are going away which is making it just another place to work and does not standout from it peers any longer
