I enjoyed working with damac. It is no doubt a good workplace to get yourself groomed and for learning. You not only learned a lot when you work with progessionals but also earn a lot.
Performance Bonuses + Foreign tours
Long working hours
Damac was a really good place to work at. if you focused on your job, you really did well in Damac. Its work environment was purely competitive but fun. Damac vast amount of projects gave us a lot of options to sell to the clients. They have a great facility and client service. Great company to work for, as you learn a lot about the industry and how to seel in the industry.
events, Buffets, benifits
A very big sales team
I love my colleagues, company invest on system which is helpful for the employees. Increment is hard which is the problem for the hard workers and for the employees who were loyal to the company
free lunch and free transportation on site offices
Damac is a reputable company with se.veral residential and commercial developments in UAE, Middle East and London to their credit. In general ,it is a fun place to work in and achieve your career dream.
Having to deal with a lot of Arabic speaking colleagues
Stressful work environment, long working hours, micro-management, no scope for growth, no time to settle down, low level of system driven work environment.
Very long hours
Professional and Competitive. Learned about Global market and resources. Need to be receptive to feedbacks and changes. Overall good company and pay master
5 day working and good ambience
Not very employee centric
Provide high-level administrative support, handling requests, documents, and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, scheduling meetings, multitasking, create good relationship with customer, and with subordinates for the growth of organization in all fields.
Several managers are recruited, of them 50% have no idea what they are working on or how work is managed. Usage of abusive language, and harrassment. Lack of knowledge to get work done. If not make an excuse and blame your subordinates. Throwing of responsiblity to others. Politics is more imp than getting work done. Overtime sometimes work through whole night. End results scrapped
Stressful, overtimes, incompatible managers, work life balance
Involved in 6 billion dirham project from inception of contractors to issuing completion certificate
Extensive overall exposure in all phases of project from initiation to close-out including final accounts settlement. Have pre-contracts (procurement, tendering and contract formulation) and post-contract administration experience on large-scale mixed used projects in varied fields like high-rise buildings, villas, shopping malls, roads and infrastructure works, landscaping and STP and Sub Station Plant with good working knowledge in FIDIC conditions of contract.
They will say they will teach you. But they wont. Interviewers will lie to your face about job responsibilities and how the job will be. They will sweet talk into the job and then turn their backs on you once you start. Dont trust the HR Department of Damac. I was fooled.Hope no one else will
Small companies in the group usually pay less to its staff as compared to parent company. Hired staff and work burden ratio is not balanced which result in stressful environment and less motivated job profile.
As a work trial I worked 2 times the first time was 3 days food trial the second was 5 days food trial both times un payed with no expense payed even tho I asked and also made sure they knew I would not work if there was no payment made I would recommend you make sure that you are given a contract to work any more than one day trial
