You're not only trying to do your job, but also taking incoming FNOL's for other affiliates of CSAA, besides the department you work in. Great team and work environment, just a ridiculous amount of work involved for the pay.

Great Pay but plenty of work

You’ll be as busy as ever, training wasn’t as long and knowledgeable as it could’ve been. However the pay and benefits are great. You might become overwhelmed.

Great place to work

Enjoyed my time with CSAA. Flexible and fast paced… pay was good and PTO was plentiful. Worked with very talented people with a good work ethic. Would highly recommend to others

Inflexible

I was a top tier salesperson, but I needed a couple extra days off for mental health reasons. I was informed I would be disciplined if I took them. So, they lost me as a result. It's not the immediate managements issue as much as it is stringent AAA demands. It's such a waste for CSAA to pay for the training and then lose a salesperson who makes money for them due to inflexibility.

Leaders and employees that care - committed to a remote environment

I can tell that employees and leaders care a great deal... not just about the customer, but about creating a positive work climate. Company leaders have gone all-in on remote work, even as other companies are forcing employees to go back to an office. And with the hybrid work environment, leaders are trying to find ways to stay connected with their teams. Workload is high and there's a lot of complexity, but all of that is manageable when you have leaders who care about you.

Has not kept up with the times

Old school company with key decisions based on politics, relationships and an in-crowd mentality. People are routinely promoted into roles they do not have the domain knowledge for, which hurts the company in the long run.

Pros

Remote work, some good colleagues

Cons

Toxic environment

Great Company

I love CSAA. My boss is great and I honestly have no complaints. I went on maternity leave shortly after starting and was worried about my job. CSAA made sure my child came first.

A few of the managers

Everyone has their own option some like working here some don’t, they use to do alot of stuff for employees like lunches, games, little carnivals, they don’t any longer, use to recognize employees when they do an outstanding job no longer do that.

Pros

They have lost their pros and cons

Don't work here, Don't be a Customer

The people I worked with were a great group of people trying to ride the same train. Management were a different set of people who pretend to be managers however, just needed to get numbers on the paper. There is no room for learning when they have been understaffed since years before COVID. The technology is 15-25 years behind other insurance companies. The Colorado Springs facility is a joke for convenience, comfort, or guests. The building they rent out is about 20 years behind in the HVAC, system controls, and cafeteria is a complete health violation. Your work schedule is set and never flexible even as a salaried employee. Never become a frontline salaried employee as they ensure you are earning less than min wage per hour. If you transition from salaried to hourly they short you a weeks of pay and talk around it to make it look like it is there. Fighting for a week of pay while not getting paid for 3 weeks was a pain.Working at AAA/CSAA ensured that I would not actually use them for their services or suggest them to my enemy. I have worked at other insurance companies and I still recommend those companies, AAA is not a place to work or be a customer.

Pros

Paid volunteer time

Cons

short 10 min breaks, management, expeted to work OT but not work OT, expected to stay current on learning in between calls that are continuously back to back, unrealistic expectations, greedy management, So many things

Sink or swim

Pay, benefits, opportunity to grow are positives. Lack of support and additional training after formal classroom training is lacking. It's very much a sink or swim situation. Teammates and supervisors can be overly direct and disrespectful at times. Fast paced, work from home, at times high stress. Stats matter more than anything. Just another company that sees people as replaceable, especially since they have training classes starting every other month.

Fast paced environment with work home life balance

CSAA IG has been my best employer. There is opportunity to promote based on skill level and great pay and benefits. They really believe in Inclusion and Belonging and incorporate tangible policies and procedures. I highly recommend working here.

It’s a job

It’s a job that pays the bills. On the phones all day and depending on the sup they can be micro managing. Promotions are a hit or miss. Everyone has to like you to get promoted.

Pros

Flexibility of work and life balance

Cons

Very limited advancement

Turbulent leadership

There were good times and not so good times. It all depended on who was in charge at the time. It can be difficult to transition when the cultural leadership is changing drastically.

Overwhelming

What is the best part of working at the company?Terminated over something that should have been a coaching opportunity. What is the most stressful part about working at the company?High volume with unrealistic expectations for claims resolutions. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Employees are supportive of each other. What is a typical day like for you at the company?7 claims assigned each morning regardless of current workload. Expectations are that 7 claims are resolved regardless of whether or not you can reach claimants.

You work for every penny.

Great pay but you work for every penny of it. Highly stressful position. More claims than they have enough adjusters for so they stretch you as thin as possible. If you can’t keep up they will put you on a performance plan. If you go on a performance plan you are doomed. People quit everyday and then they make everyone else take on the claims that were left behind. If you notice they are constantly hiring. The turnover rate is insane.

Productive, fun, informative, many activities

It was a good company to work for, as time went by it improved, the systems a d how they interacted with employee's and improved the training of the new hires. Gave you opportunities to learn and grow within the company, earn bonuses by participating in suggestions on how to improve our programs etc, surveys from the clients etc.

Pros

Games to win products, potlucks, recreation in the break room

Cons

Not sure

Challenging and rewarding work!

But the company itself - trash. Unrealistic expectations and “goals”. Overworked and underpaid. Training is extensive to the point where you truly feel they want you to succeed only to get on the floor and everything you were taught is thrown out the window. Extremely high turnover rate for a reason. A literal circus, managed by actual clowns :) And the tech issues will haunt you even off the clock.
