We asked employees why they love Schwab. Here’s what they have to say!

For more than 40 years, we've been building a business designed to help people take control of their financial futures. The same applies to our people. That's why we invest in our employees and their futures, providing them with a valuable benefits package that not only helps them stay healthy, but also gives them complimentary financial advice.

Schwab employees - or “Schwabbies” - have a shared belief to make a noticeable difference and our company culture supports these aspirations. Schwab empowers you to build a significant career with purpose. Through development opportunities and learning programs, you can challenge yourself to stretch and grow your skills. We invest in your well-being and the communities in which we live and work—because when our people are at their best, so are we. Here, you’ll find a “Schwamily” of peers and leaders who both support you and infuse some fun into your workday! “There's a culture of development and cooperation that creates a family environment where everybody is there for each other.” Forrest L, Sr Specialist, Brokerage Service Rep

Career Development

At Schwab, you have the opportunity to grow as far as your ambition takes you! From his time in the kitchen at Cheesecake Factory to his current role as a Senior Staff Developer in the finance space, Matthew is a great example of what it looks like to pursue what Ignites Your Passion. Before he started his career in coding and developing, Matthew actually had a background in the hospitality industry and was not sure of what his career path would look like. Matthew went on to earn his degree from Texas State University in Computer Information Systems and after spending three years on Schwab’s Internal Cloud Team, Matthew transitioned to working on the client summary page for A major part of the reason that Matthew was able to continue advancing his career path was the support that Schwab provided him through senior leadership and his mentors.

Benefits Highlight – Tuition Reimbursement

Education reimbursement is a benefit offered by Schwab, which aims to provide Schwabbies with opportunities to develop their skills and advance in their career.  Read how Alex B., a Financial Analyst supporting Enterprise Finance, used the tuition reimbursement to become a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA): “I had a blast going through the CFA program, I learned a ton. For anyone who’s interested in the program, I recommend it. It’s benefitted me in terms of it helped me to get the job that I wanted, I learned a ton about the capital markets and once you get it, you become a part of CFA society. The CFA is a big part of the reason I got my current role. The knowledge I got on financial analysis going through that program – I use most of that content every single day in various parts of my role, various different tasks I’m involved in, various different responsibilities I have. It’s directly benefitted me.”
