Great WLB, not for the young and ambitious

Great WLB as there is unspoken understanding on life outside of work. Talent and management are inconsistent throughout, with lots of schmucks sprinkled through the org.

Good benefits for all wfh provided equipment and shipped it out to training was long lasted & weeks very time consuming was over 100+ on the training at the time

Inclusive of all people but management is terrible

Inclusive of all people but management is terrible. Management is not supportive of the customer service employees and looks down on them. There is major turnover all of the time and has been for a long time. It is impossible to get to human resources and when you do, they want you to look to management which is the problem. It was a terrible place to work

Rude prejudice management

They have 0 care for newbies, it's all about them in their secure role, management is horrible and I would not recommend anthem at all to anyone. Horrible employer.

Work life balance

The work live balance was good, could get time off when needed and work extra with out having to use PTO, management has no communication, no help when out of 5 weeks of training

Fairness and opportunity for growth

I’ve been at Anthem 10 years and that speaks volumes for Anthem! Stay focused and out of gossiping you’ll be fine! Don’t be influenced by others towards others UNLESS it positive AND productive

Remote employment

Working remotely was a plus, giving more work/life balance. Immediate manager was initially supportive but did play favorites with her team, turning to associates who had been there longer on the line of business but "did their own thing" and excluding those with more experience & knowledge of the job itself. Flex time allowed associates to attend appointments, etc., during the work day. Overall team cooperation was good, though some were excluded from team conversations over procedure development. Some team members also would not communicate directly with each other when having a minor issue with another associate, but instead would go straight to the manager. Hardest part of the job was communicating with team members who could be non-responsive when you needed assistance with a case. Also manager not being clear on her directives, resulting in having to repeatedly ask for clarity on any specific issue presented, especially when other team members would get involved, thus at times making things even less clear.

Great work place

Great place to work. Just the overall terrific company to work for the people are great the culture of the company is great I just absolutely love it. Anthem cares a lot about the people they serve the people that work for them like it’s just really a great place to work

I love my job, I have been here one year, I received 2 raises and promoted to a dedicated team. We receive quarterly bonuses. Beside the money everyone is friendly and willing to help. We work remotely and I do not feel a disconnect I feel we are family. My manager is a micromanager and that is the only thing that can get on my last nerves. It does push me so I accept it. Anthem is a great company to work for with great people to work with.

Big company benefits.

Pretty great job if you dont mind repetitive work. Unending workload so it doesnt matter how fast you go. Just take it one call or one fax at a time.

Outsourced Overseas

I loved working with my team and manager at this company. Unfortunately, most of IT was outsourced overseas for cheaper rates and my team was chopped.

I left at a good time

I worked in one department for all the years I was there and it went under radical changes per upper management which weren't always in the interest of the people working there. HIPAA is a big issue and it's understood that takes priority, but making sure that the people in non-management positions are being taken care of and have the tools needed to do their jobs properly wasn't a priority.

Great place but not for everyone

Indeed this job was definitely the best culture and management that I have experienced in over 10 years of working. However, the big heads they make all the decisions as far as compensation and workload, are total opposites. The more you work, the less you get paid. They run things off of a annual raise and some other things that may be out of your control. This is a slow money job where your efforts are overlooked and causes a lot of people to leave the position due to the low compensation. I have experienced a lot of great things and new resources that will help you in your future endeavors as far as technology, business savvy, research, analytics, and more. I would definitely recommend this job to anyone that is trying to break into a new career or if you are young and just starting your career.

Positive atmosphere and understanding

I love working for this company! The owner does not hesitate to jump in anywhere needed where help was short. All managers and management recognized hard work! All co workers were positive and healthy atmosphere to be around! I love working for this company! Everyone is awesome! Also fun aside but always there, They are serious about their quality of food, which is made fresh everyday, and quick service for Purdue students and guests! I recommend this company to work for and enjoy their daily fresh food

People are not appreciated

Once being a good company it has transferred to a terrible work place. The culture has changed and now a lot of politics included and a good talker is appreciated and nobody cares about the work quality anymore.

Field Sales Representative

Job was stressful trying to hit sales goals but pay was very good and benefits were generous. Work/life balance could have been better but the issue I have was not being clear in the interview process regarding what the job duties actually are. Work a lot of long hours out in the field in extreme conditions (heat & cold) but the company itself was not bad to work for. Would love to explore other positions.
