Only consider if you need good benefits
Insurance Agent (Former Employee) - Dearborn, MI - September 25, 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedDictatorial management style and arbitrary enforcement of discipline on subordinates. Benefits are good, but byzantine rules and policies required to learn for relatively little pay.

Over worked under pay. No room for growth
Marketing (Current Employee) - Tampa, FL - September 23, 2023
Not compensate for work you do and keep adding on without compensate. Management is only numbers driven. Will not stand up for you and only cares about themselves.

You are just a number. They only care about sales.
Customer Service (Former Employee) - Tampa, FL - September 19, 2023
Very sketchy incentive plan. Company only cares about Membership and Credit Card Sales. I was hired initially for Customer Service but they added Membership and Credit Card and Referral sales goals. Don't bother asking about referrals you never received payment for or pay discrepancies because Management/Payroll will never have an answer. You can move up if you brown noise and volunteer for "special" projects. The customer is not the focus. The company cares about profit only and not their customers. As an employee you are only a number.
Pros
Work From Home
Cons
Pay, Workload, Upper Management

Middle Management is Clueless
Auto Physical Damage Appraiser (Former Employee) - Minneapolis-Saint Paul, MN - September 18, 2023
Remote work is nice. Direct managers tend to be oblivious to the needs of their employees. Upper management is in Michigan, so oblivious. The workload is mostly manageable, but can get out of hand when there are weather events.

Outdated Company - Need fresh ideas
Travel Advisor (Current Employee) - Florida - September 15, 2023
They use outdated computer programs that don't work well together, leads are not distributed fairly, walk in's are given to favorite agents, other agents take your clients, pushed to sell memberships and credit cards and give insurance referrals. Job not described properly when interviewed nor how the leads are distributed.

Glad I left because I can sleep better at night,
Member Services Representative (Former Employee) - Sarasota, FL - September 14, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? It is a very professional environment with really nice people that work there, The members are very nice too, What is the most stressful part about working at the company? the pay is very low and while you are dealing with very wealthy people you are having issues meeting your own personal bills because the lack of pay is way below the poverty line, What is the work environment and culture like at the company? No different than any other place in Sarasota, The manager is very unprofessional and is always making cracks about if you don't like it here then maybe this job is not for you, That is why 4 people left at the end of the year, Couldn't take the abuse, What is a typical day like for you at the company? hoping that you didn't do something wrong and get your butt chewed out for something somebody else did so they can blame someone other than theirselves,

Technology is trash
Emergency Roadside Specialist (Current Employee) - Texas - September 13, 2023
Technology is trash and support team is lack luster. Just started and I’m already drained. If you value time management when dealing with technology then keep looking for work.

Meh
Claim Support Assistant II (Current Employee) - Burnsville, MN - September 10, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? We are allowed to work from home, or from the office if we prefer. The people are very laid back and easy to work with. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Depending upon which department you work in, you might have to take calls in assisting the call center after weather events such as severe storms, hurricanes, tornadoes, etc. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? This depends upon which department you work in. In the department I work in, the people are great and my manager supports me, but the regional manager who oversees the department is a passive-aggressive jerk who isn't happy unless she is making everyone's job a drudgery. She sticks her nose in things that just don't concern her and she has tried on multiple occasions to ingratitude herself in people's personal lives to no avail. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Running reports, helping with collection referrals, making and receiving calls, helping the claim representatives with various tasks. After that, it's anything as needed.

Like most Insurance agencies in Florida difficult underwriting guidelines narrowed opportunity to make a sale
Field Sales Representative (Former Employee) - Pensacola, FL - September 6, 2023
Benefits are great, Pay is not that great, agency management is all about numbers no matter how attentative the employee is and what you have to work with the strict underwriting guidelines. Co workers were awesome. If new to the insurance career a good place to start.
Pros
Benefits
Cons
Unrealistic quota

Pay is bad and unless you’re best friends with the boss, you end up doing most of the work
Tow Truck Driver (Former Employee) - Nashville, TN - September 6, 2023
Get to work, get yelled at for not already being on the road even though the previous shift guy isn’t back yet. Then you get to do tow calls all day and you’re expected to do 1-2 an hour regardless of the situation or distance towed. Then you get yelled at for not doing 1-2 calls an hour and you get to do all that for less money than you can make at Walmart
Pros
None

Fully remote is fantastic but highly stressful position with low wage.
Travel Planner (Current Employee) - Tampa, FL - September 5, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Fully remote position and friendly co-works What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Making sure everything is done correctly, background noise is not there, not enough training, not getting help when needed/ in a short amount, and warm transfers taking to long. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Fully remote so not dealing with in office environment, but can take a very long time to get help on questions. Not enough support. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Taking in bound calls, requesting processing time to call people back or work on a booking. Invoicing and booking/canceling reservation. Quoting travel insurance.

Avoid
Sales (Current Employee) - Florida - August 20, 2023
management structure has changed several times over the past few years creating a sense of uncertainty among employees. Management seems scared to rock the boat and will do anything to keep their jobs. The insurance side of the business is bleeding money and underwriting changes have made it nearly impossible to sell policies but sales requirements have not changed.

Beware of 2024
AAA (Current Employee) - Dearborn, MI - August 20, 2023
There is a cloud of fear hanging over AAA employees. Big things happening in 2024 but management refuses to give us a heads up on what that is to be.

It's a shame ACG took over AAA of the Carolinas
Member Representative (Current Employee) - North Carolina - August 19, 2023
The office is extremely short staffed, the training schedule is awful. You train for 8 hours a day, five days a week starting out. Some of the training people are excellent, others should consider another line of work. New employees should not be drowned with on line power point and group video training. Eight hours a day for several days in a row results in people being overwhelmed and not learning anything. It's more important to balance the video training with on the hands on training. If you have a hands on learning style, this training is awful.
Pros
wonderful manager at the store level
Cons
Awful training, days and days of 8 hour training sessions

Great Company
Insurance Agent (Former Employee) - Dearborn, MI - August 18, 2023
AAA was a great company to work for. I made a alot of money in sales. As long as you put in the work you will be happy with your paychecks. Your calls are heavily monitored, but the pay is good.

Don’t think you can work here long term
Tow Truck Driver (Current Employee) - Atlanta, GA - August 17, 2023
Understand great company to work for. But if you work out the south location. You have to work about of favoritism. Supervisor trying to sleep with employees. Supervisors that will try intimidate you, throw you under the bus to save their job. Half way follow policy but will enforce it to get you terminated. Upper management doesn’t reply to emails. If you work here just understand to pay is good the work is easy but you won’t be there long if your not a push over
Pros
Pay
Cons
South location management/ supervisor
