Great People / Tedious work
Technical Analyst I (Former Employee) - Westland, MI - September 13, 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedUnfortunatley it was a lot of the same issues that would pop up over and over. You could find ways to fix them but the technology would often limit you from being able to do more. If you're ok with repitition and not much room for growth you'll be fine there. Definitely would be a goal to move to like desktop suppport or something of that nature as long as you are not having to be on the phone.

Amazing
Intern (Current Employee) - Livonia, MI - August 2, 2023
The people who work in every department at AAA are absolutely fantastic. They all helped me grow so much as a person and going into my career. Really flexible hours. They are always willing to listen. This is a great opportunity to grow.

This company is out of touch
Sales Representative (Former Employee) - Omaha, NE - July 12, 2023
They want to drive more sales out of their reps without proper compensation. The CEO of the company literally tells people they aren’t good enough. A promise of higher pay for sales reps was put on the table earlier this year and come to find out it was pretty much a pay cut. I guarantee you give it a month and people will be out of there and you’ll have to continue to rehire , which is more expensive then giving your current reps pay they deserve
Pros
None
Cons
Low pay for the position

Seems like busy call center
Remote Member Services Advocate (Current Employee) - Florida - March 10, 2023
I'm not sure what it is like working here just yet, I just started and wanted to see other reviews. But pay is alright and good benefits to start! Maybe I can come back and update once I start.

Stressful place to work no leadership and no one listens to the people doing the work.
NBP (Current Employee) - Livonia, MI - February 14, 2023
A typical day has changed over the many years of my working there. What wasn't a call center has now become one. Constant phone calls prevent you from getting your work done, yet management is ok with that and blame you for time management. When in reality the expectations are unreal. Micromanagement at it's best. The pay is horrible and not a real living wage in 2023. I shouldn't work 40hr a week with no luxuries and still struggling to make ends meet.
Cons
No real concern for it's employees, short breaks and lunches for employees

Can be fun & pleasant. Can also be very busy.
Member Services Representative (Current Employee) - Omaha, NE - January 29, 2023
AAA does try to take care of its employees. Working in a call center can be & often is very busy. AAA has great benefits which I appreciate. There is opportunity to make bonuses. I do believe there needs to be less stringent as far as sickness goes.

While I was there, I had a good time.
Member Services Sales Rep (Former Employee) - Phoenix, AZ - January 24, 2023
The pay was ok, and the health benefits were better than most companies I've worked for. I had to leave my position due to a family passing and would not have been back in time - had heavy Trustee duties to deal with. I found out later that my current boss left to another company. Nevertheless, I had a great time and met a few contacts, while it lasted.

4 stars
Member Services Advocate (Former Employee) - Omaha, NE - November 10, 2022
What is the best part of working at the company? I had the good fortune of working with a couple of great managers as well as a number of wonderful associates (co-workers). The training was pretty good, and the support staff was good as well. AAA Life also has a rewards program in which you can gain points used for purchasing items from a variety of stores. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Like any call center, there are times the caller/policy owner will be very upset concerning their policy and payments. This is just what is to be expected. On the other hand, you will speak to many pleasant people as well. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? I worked in the call center and it is fairly fast paced during certain times of the day. Other departments include the sales, IT and management. In the call center you first learn how to take payments and then learn more of the resources you'll need as you progress.

Life agents have to compete with AAA lifes web life sales and also life sales call center.
Financial Services Representative (Former Employee) - Madison, WI - October 5, 2022
Base pay and commission was really low. AAA didn't cover any expenses, including cellphone, travel expenses and transportation. It was a very toxic work environment
Pros
Free parking
Cons
Not being valued as part of team. Very little sales support

Okay just that, no other better way to describe it. Just alright, but mostly okay. Especially Mondays is definitely just okay. Okay? They should come better than that.

Terrible place to work!
Communications Specialist (Former Employee) - Livonia, MI - July 3, 2022
I would have rated it 0 stars if I could. Management was terrible. I was hired to write and I ended being my manager's assistant and lackey. Not what I was told I would do.

It's a good gig
Life insurance Agent (Former Employee) - Omaha, NE - June 22, 2022
Leads are good, atmosphere is professional. Felt like part of the success. Respected. Miss the place. But it was time to move on. I wish agents that manipulate the system would be held accountable.

Excellent Insurance Job
Life Insurance Agent (Current Employee) - Omaha, NE - April 27, 2022
AAA is about as non controversial as a company can be. This is reflected in their culture and attitudes in management and leadership. Agent direct sales role has been life changing for my family. Benefits are excellent and work life balance is hard to leave. Upward mobility is slow, as company is a small carrier. Turnover in other departments makes our job harder but this is likely true of every carrier now.

Decent pay, managers are helpful, overworked heavy calls. Overtime is always available. Training is decent. Work from home opportunity. Pay start off at 18 generally

Terrible pay and management that lies
Financial Services Associate (Current Employee) - Wisconsin - February 1, 2022
They just hire people and than fire. Lie about future compensation. Manager will just fire. Only interested in hiring for numbers. You are just a number and sales expectations are not realistic
Pros
Nothing
Cons
Make less than other companies. Highest turnover in industry

Poor management. Antiquated systems.
Life Insurance Agent (Former Employee) - NNE - December 11, 2021
The management micromanages and gets incorrect information from their antiquated systems leading to false accusations about productivity. You’re not able to actually interact with people in office you’re treated as a telemarketer. People in management are extremely petty. They do not treat you as a valued employee.
Pros
Can’t think of any
Cons
Micromanagement and unfair treatment of people that actually try.
