Decent place to work

Indeed Featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Good company, management doesn’t doesn’t bother you much as long as you get your work done. You clock in and just get to work.Typical day includes clocking in, receiving your paperwork and then checking your trailer to make sure everything matches up. Then you leave with your 10-15 stops for the day, the amount of stops depends on the route, some routes agave as little as 10 and some as much as 20 it just depends. Once you’re done with deliveries, you start doing your pickups and once that’s done you head back to the terminal. Hours range from 9 to 12 hours a day.

Pros

M-F schedule with an optional weekend if available

Cons

Wish there was OT after 40. It’s just straight pay

Ehh

I really didn’t like this job. I was dedicated and that run wasn’t That bad but the pay should definitely been more. The managers were decent but they will white lie to you.

Great place but will fire you over petty things.

Was a great company to work for. I was employed for 4 years then terminated for an insignificant reason. Even my boss was sure they wouldn’t fire me. Well they did no warning no suspension just straight let go. Not to mention I ran a truck that is extremely hard to cover for due to the nature of the job. If you do get a job offer there just mind yourself and don’t talk to anyone. The management you do interact with are really awesome it’s the bosses you don’t see that are terrible people.

Pros

Great pay easy work

Cons

Lie about Christian values and fire with no warning then they hire someone who’s a thief

A Company That Seems to Have Lost Its Pride In it's Work

When i started here things were pretty much good. Not perfect but couldn't complain to much. Long hours (12+ most days) and rushing across town, thats just the industry. You do what you can. I don't know what happened, over the last year or two it just seemed to all fall apart. Departments not doing there jobs, half the trucks were broke down out of service, a lot of the trailers were pretty beat up too. Old equip and constantly trailers from other terminals would come in loaded like s***. Freight spilling everywhere inside the trailers on a daily basis, if it came from memphis its 100 percent garanteed your gonna be picking things up and restacking skids for the next hour at least. You cant say no and you just gotta work as fast as you can.The other dock shift is lazy as h***, they don't care about securing freight or if they break something or if several skids on one bill are placed in the same area in the trailer. OSD is constantly full and I dont know which shift fills it up faster. The management knows about these problems and just seems to shrug it all off. Then get mad when the driver complains about it or if things need to get brought back at the end of th day because of issues when it was loaded. Everything seems rushed and the quality level has dropped to zero from when I started everything was almost good.I know long hours are normal from truck drivers but D*** they do everythuing they can to keep you out as long as possible. You'l get back at the end of a run as the sun is going down and get sent out again to do a swap 45 miles away most times. Like yes Im hourly -

Pros

Pay, usually the same hours

Cons

Quality, long hours, heavy lifting, cleaning other peoples messes, management

Disorganized and Somewhat Toxic

Never knew what I was going to be asked to do each day. Other people's disorganization caused me problems and no serious effort was being made to improve the environment. The disorganization existed on both local and corporate levels. Upper management seems fixated on rapid growth while locally things were literally falling apart. Favoritism was obvious and widespread.

Pros

Pay and benefits are good within the industry

Cons

Straight time for OT. Disorganized.

Okeyist play to work.

It payed the bills but left due to working my life away. Management didn’t care at all. Show’s favorites and won’t even help you out if you’re sick one day. Equipment was complete junk when I worked there. I’m sure it hasn’t changed since I left.

Decent pay benefits could be better

It’s overall a great place to work the leadership in the office needs to be better. We don’t have group meetings to let us know what’s going on as far as raises etc. Were just pulled to the side and told so of course no one is on the same page. And then the story changes 20 times by the time you hear it. Leadership could have been friendlier never a thank you for what you do, current supervision inbound and outbound are great they speak to you and appreciate what you do. It all starts at the top if you expect your Employees to have a great attitude and have a positive attitude then it starts with you as a leader. But like a said it’s overall a great place other than that concern

Easy work, low pay

The job is easy. The training is very detailed, and management is always available for answering questions. The benefits are not great and the pay is very low for the job. Was also told I wouldn't be able to use vacation time until I've been here 2 years, also only allowed 15 sick days for first 3 years and cannot accrue anymore until after 3 years.

P&D Driver

Ok company to work for if you like long hours. Company is like any other company who doesn’t care about drivers etc. Pay is excellent but it’s not easy work.

Crazy place to work

Would not recommend. Company is too busy to train. Bad pay for the work expected. Not ahealthy environment for a woman. Must be a problem solver and not expect equality.

Pretty Decent Company

The job was pretty decent. Upper management is good, always something to do, different contracts like hyundai and the rock division.. Did a little bit of everything over there

Ok pay. but no overtime pay.

One of the major things wrong with this company, is that the top brass doesn't care about the driver's pay. Your working over 55 hours a week and it's all straight time. makes you feel like your being used by the company. I think AAA is the only company LTL left that doesn't pay OT to their driver's. Don't think your gonna have a life Monday - Friday. You'll be to burned out to do anything after work. Maybe if they paid OT. They might get some new driver's to start. But why would you, if the other LTL's are paying OT . Someone needs to change the light blub in Alabama and have them get with current times.

Pros

Trucks and trailers are good. Pay ok

Cons

No ot, and no bonuses, even though they say there is. takes to many years to see anything.
