Full job description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Site Engineer – Civil to join our contracting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating daily civil construction activities on site, ensuring that works are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily civil construction activities at the project site.
  • Review and interpret structural, architectural, and civil drawings and ensure proper execution.
  • Ensure construction works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, foremen, and site workers to ensure smooth execution.
  • Monitor site progress and ensure activities are completed according to the approved schedule.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and ensure proper workmanship and construction practices.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections, testing, and approval of completed works.
  • Prepare and submit inspection requests and coordinate inspections with consultants and clients.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues and site discrepancies in coordination with the Project Engineer and Project Manager.
  • Monitor manpower, materials, and equipment requirements for assigned activities.
  • Ensure proper use and handling of construction materials and resources.
  • Coordinate with HSE personnel to ensure compliance with safety procedures and site regulations.
  • Prepare daily site reports, progress updates, and other required documentation.
  • Coordinate with surveyors, subcontractors, and other engineering disciplines as required.
  • Assist with snagging, rectification, testing, handover, and project close-out activities.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Project Engineer or Project Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in civil construction, preferably with a contracting company.
  • UAE/GCC construction experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience in high-rise, residential, commercial, or large-scale civil construction projects is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, drawings, and specifications.
  • Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
  • Good knowledge of QA/QC and HSE requirements.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet project deadlines.

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
