CHINESE HEAD CHEF – OFFSHORE CATERING

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE – Offshore

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Chinese Head Chef to lead kitchen operations for an offshore catering facility. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Chinese cuisine, proven experience managing a kitchen team, and the ability to maintain high food quality and hygiene standards in a demanding offshore environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the Chinese kitchen team and daily food production.
  • Prepare and oversee authentic Chinese dishes for high-volume catering operations.
  • Plan menus and ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
  • Manage food preparation, cooking, portion control, and kitchen workflow.
  • Monitor food stocks, ingredients, and wastage.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
  • Train and supervise Chinese kitchen staff and maintain kitchen discipline.
  • Coordinate with the Executive Chef and catering management to meet daily requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and safety standards throughout the kitchen.
  • Ensure efficient operations during peak meal periods.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Chinese Head Chef / Chinese Executive Chef / Senior Chinese Chef.
  • Strong knowledge of authentic Chinese cuisine.
  • Experience in offshore, remote-site, camp, or large-scale catering is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience managing a kitchen team.
  • Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and multicultural catering environment.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Offshore catering experience in the UAE/GCC is an advantage.

Pay: AED20,000.00 - AED22,000.00 per month
