Full job description

We are looking for an experienced Furniture Upholstery Supervisor to lead our upholstery team and oversee daily production. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to deliver high-quality furniture within agreed deadlines.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervise and guide upholsterers, cutters, sewing operators, and helpers.
  • Plan daily workloads, assign tasks, and monitor production progress.
  • Oversee fabric and leather cutting, stitching, foam preparation, padding, and upholstery installation.
  • Read drawings, measurements, and job specifications to ensure accurate execution.
  • Inspect workmanship, including stitching, fabric alignment, pattern matching, fit, and finishing.
  • Provide hands-on support, resolve production issues, and train team members.
  • Estimate material requirements, control waste, and coordinate material availability.
  • Coordinate with carpentry and other production teams to meet delivery schedules.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience in furniture upholstery, including a supervisory or team leadership role.
  • Strong practical knowledge of upholstered sofas, chairs, headboards, and custom furniture.
  • Experience working with fabrics, leather, foam, padding, and upholstery tools and machinery.
  • The ability to identify quality issues and implement effective corrections.
  • Strong leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • A commitment to craftsmanship, productivity, and meeting deadlines.

Experience in custom-made or luxury furniture upholstery would be an advantage.

Pay: AED5,500.00 - AED8,500.00 per month
