Kids’ Play Area Attendant

About the Role

A new indoor kids’ play area in Dubai is looking for friendly, energetic, and responsible Kids’ Play Area Attendants to supervise children, maintain a safe play environment, and deliver an enjoyable experience for families.

The successful candidate will monitor assigned play zones, assist children and parents, enforce safety rules, maintain cleanliness, and immediately report any incidents, hazards, or equipment concerns.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome children and parents in a friendly and professional manner.
• Supervise children within assigned play zones and activity areas.
• Ensure children use play equipment correctly and safely.
• Explain and consistently enforce play-area rules.
• Monitor slides, climbing structures, ball pits, soft-play equipment, creative areas, and other attractions.
• Control the number of children using each attraction when required.
• Ensure children follow age, height, and safety restrictions.
• Assist children when entering or exiting play equipment.
• Remain alert and attentive throughout the assigned shift.
• Prevent unsafe behaviour, rough play, climbing in restricted areas, and misuse of equipment.
• Support parents and children with directions, enquiries, and general assistance.
• Respond calmly and professionally to minor incidents or customer concerns.
• Immediately report injuries, accidents, damaged equipment, hazards, or unusual situations to the supervisor.
• Assist with lost-child procedures and ensure children are released only to the correct parent or guardian.
• Support emergency, evacuation, and first-aid procedures when required.
• Conduct regular visual checks of play equipment and surrounding areas.
• Ensure walkways, emergency exits, and access points remain clear.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of assigned play zones.
• Carry out regular spot cleaning and sanitisation of high-contact surfaces.
• Report spills, damaged flooring, loose equipment, or cleanliness concerns immediately.
• Assist with opening, closing, and daily operational checklists.
• Support birthday parties, school trips, group bookings, workshops, and special events when required.
• Assist with guest entry procedures, wristbands, socks, and queue management during busy periods.
• Help manage customer flow during weekends, public holidays, and peak operating hours.
• Work closely with reception, party hosts, housekeeping, cashiers, and supervisors.
• Follow the venue’s grooming, safety, hygiene, customer-service, and operational standards at all times.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a children’s play area, family entertainment centre, nursery, school, theme park, hospitality, recreation, or customer-service role is preferred.
• Comfortable working with children of different ages.
• Friendly, patient, attentive, and responsible.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Strong awareness of safety and cleanliness standards.
• Able to remain standing and active for extended periods.
• Physically able to assist children and move around play structures where necessary.
• Able to work effectively in a busy and noisy environment.
• Able to follow instructions, checklists, and operational procedures.
• Willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends, evenings, school holidays, and public holidays.
• Fluent English is required; Arabic or another language is an advantage.
• First-aid, fire-safety, or child-safety training is an advantage.
