WE ARE HIRING – SUPERMARKET MANAGER

Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant supermarket management experience

We are looking for a highly experienced, professional, and results-driven Supermarket Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of supermarket operations in Ajman. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills and hands-on experience in managing supermarket operations from the initial setup and organization to the day-to-day running of the business.

The candidate must be capable of managing all departments, supervising teams, controlling costs, increasing sales, and ensuring smooth and profitable operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Overall Operations Management: Manage the complete supermarket operations, ensuring smooth daily business activities and operational efficiency.
• Supermarket Setup & Organization: Experience in supermarket opening, store layout, shelving, product arrangement, equipment coordination, supplier coordination, and operational setup.
• Team Management: Recruit, train, supervise, and manage employees across all departments, including cashiers, sales staff, storekeepers, stock controllers, and department supervisors.
• Sales & Business Development: Develop sales strategies, achieve sales targets, improve customer retention, and maximize profitability.
• Inventory & Stock Control: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular stock audits, minimize wastage, prevent stock shortages, and control expired or damaged products.
• Purchasing & Supplier Management: Coordinate with suppliers, negotiate prices and credit terms, manage purchase orders, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Financial Management: Monitor daily sales, cash handling, expenses, gross profit margins, operating costs, and departmental performance.
• Customer Service: Maintain high customer service standards and resolve customer complaints professionally.
• Merchandising & Promotions: Ensure proper product displays, pricing, promotional activities, and attractive store presentation.
• Compliance & Hygiene: Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, food safety requirements, health and hygiene standards, and company policies.
• Reporting & Performance Monitoring: Prepare regular sales, inventory, staff performance, and profitability reports for management.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in supermarket management, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of supermarket operations, preferably covering the complete business lifecycle from setup to daily management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple departments and lead large teams.
• Excellent knowledge of inventory management, purchasing, merchandising, and supplier negotiations.
• Strong understanding of sales targets, budgeting, cost control, and profit margins.
• Experience with supermarket POS systems, inventory software, and reporting tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and achieve business objectives.
• Candidates with experience in opening or setting up a new supermarket will be highly preferred.
