Job Summary

A Store Assistant supports daily retail operations by assisting customers, maintaining store cleanliness, handling inventory, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Provide product information and help customers make purchase decisions
  • Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately
  • Stock shelves and ensure products are properly displayed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store
  • Monitor inventory levels and report shortages
  • Assist in receiving and unpacking deliveries
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns
  • Follow company policies and safety procedures

Requirements & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic math and cash-handling skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
