Job Summary:

We are seeking experienced and safety-conscious Riggers to join our team for a structural steel erection project with ADNOC. The ideal candidates will be responsible for the safe lifting, positioning, and securing of heavy loads using cranes and rigging equipment, ensuring all activities comply with ADNOC safety standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Rigging Preparation & Planning:

Review lifting plans, method statements, and risk assessments prior to execution. Select appropriate rigging gear based on load weight, shape, and center of gravity.

  • Inspection of Equipment:

Conduct thorough pre-use and periodic inspections of all rigging equipment such as slings, shackles, eyebolts, hooks, and lifting beams. Ensure all equipment is certified, color-coded (if applicable), and free from defects.

  • Load Handling & Securing:

Attach loads securely using correct rigging techniques to ensure stability during lifting, shifting, and positioning. Verify proper load balance and weight distribution before lifting operations commence.

  • Coordination with Crane Operators:

Act as a signalman/banksman when required, using standard hand signals or radio communication to guide crane operators safely and efficiently during lifting operations.

  • Execution of Lifting Operations:

Assist in carrying out routine and critical lifting activities in accordance with approved lifting plans and ADNOC safety procedures. Ensure no unauthorized personnel are within the lifting zone.

  • Load Movement & Placement:

Guide and control suspended loads using taglines to prevent uncontrolled movement. Safely position and align structural steel components during erection activities.

  • Safety Compliance (HSE):

Strictly follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, including ADNOC regulations. Participate in toolbox talks, job safety analysis (JSA), and permit-to-work (PTW) systems.

  • Hazard Identification & Risk Control:

Identify potential hazards related to lifting operations and take proactive measures to mitigate risks. Immediately report unsafe conditions or incidents to supervisors.

  • Site Coordination:

Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and other team members to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to project timelines.

  • Housekeeping & Work Area Safety:

Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment. Ensure rigging gear is stored properly after use.

  • Emergency Response:

Be aware of emergency procedures and assist in implementing site emergency response plans when required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Rigger in Oil & Gas or construction projects
  • Experience working on ADNOC or similar projects is highly preferred
  • Valid Rigger certification (Third Party / ADNOC approved preferred)
  • Mandatory CP19 certification
  • Good understanding of lifting techniques, load calculations, and safety practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively with crane operators and team members
  • Physically fit and able to work in demanding site conditions
  • Knowledge of HSE standards and safe work practices

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ADNOC site approval or previous ADNOC project experience
  • Basic knowledge of English (spoken and understood)
  • Familiarity with structural steel erection activities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
