Job Summary

We are looking for a professional, customer-focused, and energetic Cashier & Café Service Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling cashier operations while also assisting with food and beverage service to ensure guests receive a warm, efficient, and memorable dining experience. The role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced café environment.

Key Responsibilities

Cashier Duties

  • Welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude.
  • Process cash, credit/debit card, and digital payments accurately using the POS system.
  • Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain an accurate cash float and perform opening and closing cash reconciliations.
  • Ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
  • Handle customer billing inquiries professionally.

Café Service

  • Take customer orders accurately and recommend menu items.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining excellent service standards.
  • Deliver a premium guest experience by anticipating customer needs.
  • Clear and reset tables promptly to maintain a clean dining area.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen and barista team to ensure timely order preparation.
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve minor service issues professionally.

Operations

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the cashier counter, dining area, and service stations.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Restock takeaway items, beverages, condiments, and café supplies.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties.
  • Support inventory counts and report low stock levels.
  • Follow all company SOPs, health, and safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification in Hospitality or Food & Beverage Service is an advantage.
  • Basic Food Safety/HACCP certification is preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cashier in a café, restaurant, coffee shop, or hospitality environment.
  • Experience in table service and customer-facing hospitality roles.
  • Hands-on experience using POS systems and handling cash accurately.
  • Experience in premium cafés or luxury hospitality is an advantage.
