General Manager – Italian Restaurant

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our new, high-volume Italian restaurant in Dubai.

This is a hands-on operational role suited to a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being present on the floor during service. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the successful launch of the restaurant, overseeing smooth day-to-day operations, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining consistently high service standards.

This position is highly service-focused and ideal for someone passionate about hospitality, team development, and operational excellence.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership

Be actively present on the restaurant floor during busy service periods, leading by example and ensuring smooth daily operations.

Team Management

Recruit, lead, motivate, coach, and develop the team, creating a positive, supportive, and high-performing working environment.

Rota & Productivity

Plan and manage rotas effectively to ensure strong productivity, efficient labour management, and excellent service coverage during peak periods.

Guest Experience

Drive exceptional service standards by ensuring every guest receives a warm, professional, and memorable dining experience.

Service Excellence

Monitor service delivery closely, identify opportunities for improvement, and maintain consistently high operational standards.

Performance Monitoring

Track key operational KPIs including sales performance, guest feedback, productivity, labour costs, and team performance to support continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a similar General Manager role within hospitality.
• Strong experience managing high-volume restaurant operations.
• Previous experience opening a new restaurant is highly desirable.
• A hands-on leader who enjoys being actively involved on the restaurant floor.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Passion for hospitality and exceptional customer service.
• Ability to remain calm, decisive, and effective under pressure.
• Service-led mindset with a strong eye for detail.
• Previous experience within the UAE or GCC hospitality market is desirable.
