Research Assistant jobs in Dubai

We are seeking a Research Assistant to support the firm's consultants and analysts in our Dubai office. The role involves open-source research across a range of subject areas, drafting written notes and summaries, and assisting with the preparation of internal and client-facing material. A very high standard of written and spoken English is essential, as the work centres on producing clear, accurate prose and communicating findings directly to colleagues and clients.

Experience

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a research or analytical role.
• Demonstrated experience conducting open-source research and preparing written material for review by senior colleagues.
• Experience working on multiple concurrent research tasks and delivering to deadline.
• Background in public affairs, government relations, policy, or regulatory research is preferred, though strong analytical research experience from any sector will be considered.
• UAE/Dubai experience is an advantage.

Education

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree in a relevant discipline preferred.

Core Skills & Competencies

• Excellent written English, with a command of grammar, structure, and register, and the ability to draft clear, concise notes and summaries with minimal editing required.
• Excellent spoken English, with the confidence to present findings and communicate professionally with colleagues, clients, and external contacts (Arabic, French, Russian, or another second language is a strong advantage).
• Strong open-source research skills, including the use of corporate registries, official databases, regulatory publications, and reputable media sources.
• Ability to take a research brief, clarify what is required, and return usable material without extensive follow-up.
• Sound analytical judgement and the ability to distinguish reliable sources from unreliable ones.
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in the handling of names, dates, entities, and citations.
• Ability to condense large volumes of material into short, usable summaries.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfort with online research tools and databases.
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while contributing reliably to a small team.
• Discretion and sound judgement in handling confidential and commercially sensitive information.
