Job Summary
As an Analyst, Client Management at Standard Chartered, based in Dubai, you will play a crucial role in driving consistency and excellence across our Client Management teams. This role is anchored in upholding the Department Operating Instructions (DOIs) and standard work processes, ensuring a consultative, collaborative, and risk-based approach to identifying and addressing operational and compliance risks.
You will serve as a subject matter expert, fostering a culture centered on zero operational loss and first time right execution. Your responsibilities encompass supporting regulatory audits, deepening client management knowledge, and driving best practices around risk management, governance, and reporting across various teams.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and manage daily, fortnightly, and monthly reports to support senior management decision-making and operational oversight.
Collaborate effectively with second line functions, including Financial Crime Compliance Assurance teams, to manage reviews, address queries, and escalate issues as appropriate.
Execute custodial functions in alignment with Group Standards, including processing security documentation lodgements and withdrawals within the Collateral Management System (CMS).
Ensure security documentation is stored securely in fireproof vaults, with digital backups maintained appropriately on shared drives.
Prepare, submit, and monitor regulatory reports related to client management and credit risk activities.
Oversee archival management in coordination with the bank’s approved vendors, ensuring compliance with document retention policies.
Provide comprehensive orientation and ongoing guidance to new team members, fostering effective assimilation of bank policies, procedures, and culture.
Collaborate with the team to develop personalized learning plans aimed at building competencies critical to client management excellence, and successfully meet developmental milestones.
Skills and Experience
Proficiency in managing security documentation, credit fulfilment activities, and operating within collateral management systems.
Capability in preparing detailed reports for regulatory and audit purposes while maintaining integrity and timeliness.
Ability to manage key control self-assessments (KCSA) and control standard tests (CST) with efficient follow-ups on exceptions and rework.
Strong organisational skills to track security documentation and manage vault key responsibilities in adherence to group policies.
Proven aptitude in using MS Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting and documentation purposes.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and write clearly in English and Arabic.
Comfortable working under tight deadlines, demonstrating resilience, accuracy, and a proactive approach in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications
University graduate with relevant academic credentials.
A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills, fostering effective working relationships across teams and functions..
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic, able to articulate complex concepts clearly.
Proficient in MS Office applications and comfortable adopting new digital tools and platforms.
