Medical Coder

• Review and accurately code patient medical records, diagnoses, and procedures.
• Ensure accurate coding based on clinical documentation and applicable coding guidelines.
• Review medical records for completeness and identify missing or unclear documentation.
• Coordinate with physicians and clinical departments for documentation clarification.
• Assist with insurance claims preparation, submission, and follow-up.
• Coordinate insurance approvals, eligibility, claims, rejections, and denials.
• Monitor claim status and coordinate with insurance companies and TPAs.
• Assist with Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), including billing, claims follow-up, and outstanding receivables.
• Support the Billing and Finance teams in resolving coding and claim-related issues.
• Maintain accurate records of coding, claims, approvals, denials, and payments.
• Ensure compliance with DOH, insurance, payer, and hospital requirements.
• Participate in coding, insurance, billing, and RCM audits.
• Attend and assist during DOH audits and inspections and provide required records and reports.
• Assist in implementing corrective actions related to audit findings.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient and insurance information.
• Keep updated on coding guidelines, insurance policies, and RCM requirements.
• Knowledge of insurance coordination and RCM is a plus.
• UAE healthcare insurance experience is preferred.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
