Full job description

We are looking for a Plant Operator to join our operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and operating biogas production equipment, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor biogas production equipment, including digesters, compressors, and gas treatment systems.
  • Monitor process parameters (temperature, pressure, pH, gas flow, and biogas quality) using SCADA/DCS and field instrumentation.
  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of plant equipment.
  • Maintain production logs, operating records, and equipment performance reports.
  • Respond promptly to process deviations and equipment alarms.
  • Participate in scheduled maintenance, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and environmental standards.

Requirements

  • Experience in an industrial process plant (biogas, wastewater, utilities, chemical, oil & gas, or power generation preferred).
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment operation and process monitoring systems (SCADA/DCS).
  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills.
  • Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and plant operating software.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
