Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and technically capable IT Officer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day IT support, maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure, and ensuring the reliable operation of computer systems, networks, CCTV, audiovisual equipment, and other technology-related office equipment.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in IT troubleshooting, hardware and software support, network infrastructure, CCTV systems, audiovisual equipment, and general IT administration.

Key ResponsibilitiesIT Support & Systems Administration

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, laptops, desktops, and peripheral devices.
• Perform operating system installations, software updates, system upgrades, and laptop/desktop formatting when required.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting to employees for hardware, software, email, and system-related issues.
• Manage user accounts, access permissions, email accounts, and password administration.
• Conduct regular data backups and recovery procedures to support business continuity and data protection.

Network & Connectivity

• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN network infrastructure to ensure stable and secure connectivity.
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, access points, network cabling, and internet connections.
• Coordinate with Etisalat and other telecommunications providers regarding internet services, router configurations, network issues, and service maintenance.
• Assist with network expansions, infrastructure improvements, and office relocation projects.

CCTV & Security Systems

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot CCTV systems, including cameras, DVRs/NVRs, recording devices, storage systems, and remote access configurations.
• Monitor CCTV system performance and ensure continuous recording and proper functionality.
• Install and manage antivirus software, firewalls, and other security solutions to protect company systems and networks.

Audiovisual & Meeting Room Support

• Maintain and troubleshoot office audiovisual equipment, including microphones, speakers, amplifiers, projectors, televisions, display screens, video conferencing systems, and meeting room presentation equipment.
• Set up and provide technical support for company meetings, presentations, training sessions, and events requiring audiovisual equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to office televisions, digital signage, and multimedia display systems.

Office Equipment & IT Assets

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot printers, scanners, photocopiers, biometric devices, and other office equipment.
• Manage printer connectivity, driver installations, shared printing services, and routine printer maintenance.
• Maintain an accurate IT asset inventory covering computers, laptops, networking devices, CCTV equipment, audiovisual equipment, and office peripherals.
• Perform preventive maintenance and regular inspections of IT, networking, CCTV, audiovisual, and office equipment to minimize downtime.

Vendor Coordination & Documentation

• Liaise with external vendors and service providers for IT support, networking, CCTV, telecommunications, audiovisual systems, and office equipment maintenance.
• Prepare technical documentation, maintenance reports, inventory records, and system configuration records.
• Ensure compliance with company IT policies, cybersecurity standards, and data protection procedures.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in IT support, IT administration, or a related technical role.
• Hands-on knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN networking, routers, switches, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity.
• Experience with CCTV systems, including DVR/NVR systems and remote access configuration.
• Knowledge of audiovisual equipment and meeting room technology.
• Experience troubleshooting printers, scanners, photocopiers, biometric systems, and other office equipment.
• Basic understanding of antivirus, firewalls, cybersecurity, and data protection.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and provide timely technical support to employees.
• Candidates based in the UAE are preferred.
