About the Role

Macoma Tech is a precision scale model manufacturing workshop in Ajman. We build architectural scale models, custom awards, exhibition pieces and miniatures for leading UAE developers and brands - see our work at macomatech.com. Everything is produced in-house: 3D printing, silicone moulding, resin casting, laser cutting, painting and assembly.

You'll own the moulding and casting stage of production - from preparing masters and building silicone (RTV) moulds, through batch resin casting, to finishing parts ready for assembly. This is hands-on craft work for someone who takes pride in clean moulds, bubble-free castings and repeatable output.

What You'll Do

- Build single-part, two-part and block/glove RTV silicone moulds from 3D-printed and handmade masters

- Mix silicone and resin systems accurately by weight/ratio, controlling pot life and cure

- Run batch production of resin castings with consistent quality and minimal rejects

- Operate pressure pots and vacuum degassing equipment

- De-mould, de-gate, trim, sand and finish castings

- Support model assembly - fitting and bonding cast and fabricated parts

- Track mould life and repair/remake moulds when worn

- Follow safety procedures for resins, silicones, solvents and release agents

Who We're Looking For

- Hands-on experience in resin casting, silicone moulding, or a closely related craft - model making, prop making, dental lab work, jewellery casting, signage, or prototyping backgrounds all transfer well

- Practical knowledge of RTV silicones and polyurethane/polyester resins (or the ability to learn our systems fast)

- Good finishing skills - sanding, filling, trimming, surface prep

- Able to read basic drawings and work to tolerances

- Detail-oriented, reliable, comfortable with repetitive batch work to a fixed standard

- Currently in the UAE preferred; visit visa / cancelled visa applicants welcome

Bonus skills: SLA/FDM 3D print post-processing, airbrushing and model painting, vacuum forming, laser cutting, CNC.
