• Review patient medical records, clinical documentation, physician notes, laboratory reports, and discharge summaries.
• Assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes using applicable coding systems, such as as relevant to the facility and jurisdiction.
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of clinical documentation before code assignment.
• Ensure compliance with coding guidelines, healthcare regulations, payer policies, and organizational procedures.
• Identify missing, inconsistent, or unclear documentation and request clarification from the appropriate healthcare professional.
• Support accurate medical billing, claims submission, reimbursement, and denial prevention.
• Conduct coding audits and resolve coding discrepancies.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with applicable privacy and data protection requirements.
• Meet established productivity, quality, and turnaround-time targets.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, billing teams, insurance departments, and medical records staff.

Qualifications

• bachelor's degree in Medical Coding, Health Information Management,
• Minimum 2-4 years experience preferred.
• Relevant medical coding certification is preferred or required, depending on the position.
• Familiarity with applicable coding systems, such as depending on the country and employer.
• Knowledge of insurance claims, reimbursement procedures, and coding compliance.

Performance Indicators

• Coding accuracy and audit scores.
• Productivity and turnaround time.
• Claim rejection and denial rates attributable to coding.
• Compliance with coding guidelines and organizational policies.
• Timely resolution of documentation queries.
• Experience with the relevant healthcare system, payer requirements, and coding standards is an advantage.

Pay: AED1.00 per month
