Position: Medical Transcriptionist

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Medical Transcriptionist to accurately transcribe medical reports, clinical notes, consultation records, procedures, and other healthcare documentation. The candidate should have excellent knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, medications, and clinical documentation with strong attention to accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

• Transcribe physicians’ dictated recordings into accurate and well-formatted medical reports.
• Prepare consultation notes, medical reports, procedure notes, discharge summaries, referral letters, and other clinical documentation.
• Review and edit transcribed reports for grammar, spelling, medical terminology, accuracy, and completeness.
• Ensure correct usage of medical terminology, abbreviations, medications, diagnoses, and procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient information and update documentation in the EMR/HIS system.
• Coordinate with doctors and clinical teams to clarify incomplete or unclear information.
• Ensure medical records are completed and submitted within the required turnaround time.
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality and data privacy at all times.
• Organize and maintain electronic medical records and documentation.
• Follow healthcare facility policies and applicable regulatory/documentation standards.
• Support physicians and clinical departments with documentation-related requirements when required.

Requirements

• Diploma/Bachelor’s degree or relevant qualification in Medical Transcription, Medical Administration, Healthcare, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Transcriptionist, preferably in a hospital, clinic, or medical centre.
• UAE healthcare experience is preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, diagnoses, and medical procedures.
• Good typing speed with a high level of accuracy.
• Experience using EMR/HIS systems is preferred.
• Excellent written English, grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential patient information.
• Ability to work efficiently with doctors and other healthcare professionals.

Pay: AED2,508.68 - AED3,500.00 per month
