Role Description

This is a part-time remote role as an English Online Educator at Filo. As an English Online Educator, you will provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring sessions to students across various English subjects, including English Language, English Literature, Grammar, Writing Skills, and Reading Comprehension.

You will help students improve their language proficiency, enhance vocabulary, develop strong writing and analytical skills, and gain confidence in speaking and comprehension. Responsibilities include preparing for sessions, delivering interactive and engaging lessons, assisting with essay writing and exam preparation, addressing students' questions promptly, and fostering a positive, student-centered learning environment that builds confidence and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Strong subject matter expertise in English (Language and/or Literature)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain language concepts clearly and effectively
  • Ability to simplify grammar rules, improve writing structure, and develop critical literary analysis skills
  • Experience teaching school-level or higher-level English curricula (IB, IGCSE, AP, or other international boards is a plus)
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and online teaching tools
  • Patience, adaptability, and a passion for English education
  • Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional teaching setup
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in English or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus
  • Prior tutoring or classroom teaching experience preferred
