General Practitioner (GP) – Full-Time

Location: Ajman, UAE
Job Type: Full-Time

Elaj Medical Centre is seeking a qualified and motivated General Practitioner (GP) to join our medical team in Ajman.

The ideal candidate should have strong clinical and diagnostic skills, excellent patient communication, and experience providing general outpatient medical care. The GP will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients while coordinating with specialists and other members of our multidisciplinary medical team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient consultations, medical histories, physical examinations, and clinical assessments.
  • Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Develop appropriate treatment and follow-up plans.
  • Prescribe medications and request laboratory, radiology, and other diagnostic investigations when clinically indicated.
  • Interpret laboratory and diagnostic results and provide appropriate follow-up care.
  • Manage common chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and other primary-care conditions.
  • Identify cases requiring specialist care and provide appropriate referrals.
  • Provide preventive healthcare, health education, and lifestyle counseling.
  • Respond appropriately to urgent or emergency cases within the GP scope of practice.
  • Maintain complete and accurate patient documentation and electronic medical records.
  • Ensure proper clinical documentation for insurance approvals and claims.
  • Work closely with specialists, nurses, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and administrative teams.
  • Follow all applicable MOHAP requirements, infection-control standards, patient-safety policies, and professional guidelines.
  • Maintain a professional, ethical, and patient-centered approach at all times.

Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent recognized medical qualification.
  • Valid MOHAP license or eligibility as a General Practitioner.
  • Previous experience working as a General Practitioner in a medical center, clinic, or hospital.
  • UAE clinical experience is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of outpatient general medicine and primary care.
  • Familiarity with medical insurance procedures and clinical documentation is an advantage.
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and patient-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary medical team.
  • Arabic language skills are required.
