Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Clinic Billing and Insurance Officer with a minimum of 2 years of UAE healthcare experience to manage billing operations, insurance claims processing, and revenue cycle activities. The ideal candidate must be a Medical Coder as well as familiar with UAE insurance regulations and submission systems, ensuring accurate and timely claim processing in compliance with local healthcare authorities.

Key Responsibilities

Insurance / Medical Coding & Claims Management

  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits before treatment.
  • Obtain pre-authorizations and approvals from insurance providers.
  • Prepare and submit insurance claims through approved UAE portals (e.g., eClaim/DHA systems).
  • Follow up on pending, rejected, or partially paid claims.
  • Resubmit corrected claims in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with insurance companies and third-party administrators (TPAs) for claim resolution.

Billing & Revenue Cycle

  • Generate accurate patient invoices (insurance and self-pay).
  • Post payments received from insurance companies and patients.
  • Reconcile daily collections and maintain proper financial records.
  • Prepare insurance aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Ensure compliance with clinic billing policies and UAE healthcare regulations.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure all billing and claims activities comply with guidelines set by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient records in line with UAE data protection standards.
  • Assist in internal and external insurance audits.

Patient & Administrative Support

  • Respond to patient inquiries regarding billing and insurance coverage.
  • Provide clarification on co-payments, deductibles, and claim statuses.
  • Coordinate with front desk and clinical teams to resolve documentation discrepancies.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing / medical Coding and insurance processing within the UAE.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE insurance policies, claim submission processes, and TPAs.
  • Experience using medical billing software and insurance portals.
  • Familiarity with ICD-10 coding is an advantage.
  • Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
