Job Summary

Cure Medical Center Physiotherapy is seeking an experienced, highly organized, and detail-oriented Medical Insurance & Claims Specialist to manage all medical insurance and claims operations efficiently, ensuring timely approvals, accurate claims processing, and an optimized revenue cycle while delivering outstanding patient service.

Job Purpose

To ensure the efficient and accurate management of all medical insurance and claims processes by obtaining timely approvals, processing claims in accordance with payer requirements, minimizing claim denials, maximizing reimbursements, and ensuring compliance with UAE healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Insurance & Pre-Authorization Management

  • Verify insurance eligibility and obtain pre-authorizations/ approvals in accordance with insurance providers’ requirements.
  • Manage the complete medical insurance claims cycle, including complete claims submissions and resubmissions.

Claims Review

  • Review medical records and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with insurance providers’ requirements and UAE healthcare regulations.
  • Verify the accuracy of medical coding and billing before claim submission to minimize claim denials.

Claims Follow-up & Revenue Collection

  • Follow up on submitted claims, pending approvals, rejected claims, and denied cases while ensuring timely resolution.
  • Liaise with insurance companies until all claims and approvals are completed.
  • Perform insurance payment reconciliation and coordinate with the Finance Department to ensure accurate revenue collection.

Reporting & Records Management

  • Prepare periodic reports on claims performance, claim denials, and complete insurance revenue cycle.
  • Maintain accurate electronic insurance records while ensuring patient confidentiality and data integrity.

Communication & Coordination

  • Communicate professionally with patients regarding insurance coverage, approvals and appointment status.
  • Stay updated with insurance policies, payer requirements, and UAE healthcare regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with physiotherapists, reception staff, administration, and all team members to ensure smooth workflow and provide administrative support when required.
  • Answer and manage incoming calls and messages professionally
  • Support accounting and financial administrative tasks, including accurate data entry and record maintenance

Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in medical insurance or claims management within the UAE.
  • Previous experience in a physiotherapy or rehabilitation center with insurance is preferred.

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of UAE medical insurance procedures, pre-authorizations, claims processing, reimbursement, and revenue cycle management.
  • Hands-on experience dealing with major UAE insurance providers.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel, EMR/EHR systems, and medical billing & RCM.

Skills

  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPC certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or a related field is preferred.
