Full job description

Top Care Medical Center L.L.C., a primary healthcare center in Abu Dhabi, is seeking an experienced, proactive, and detail-oriented Male Medical Insurance Coordinator to join our administrative team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prior Authorization & Pre-Approvals: Process prior authorization requests for medical procedures, laboratory tests, medications, and diagnostics with insurance providers in a timely manner.
  • Claims Processing & Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage, policy limits, and co-payment details accurately prior to consultation or treatment.
  • Medical Coding & Data Entry: Accurately assign and apply CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and DoH service codes to diagnosis, treatment, and procedure documents prior to submission.
  • Resubmission & Rejection Handling: Audit rejected or denied claims, analyze coding error patterns or medical necessity issues, and resubmit corrected claims with complete medical documentation.
  • Coding Compliance & Auditing: Perform regular internal coding audits to ensure full adherence to Department of Health (DoH) regulations and insurance provider guidelines in Abu Dhabi.
  • Provider Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between doctors, nursing staff, and insurance agencies to clarify clinical documentation and standard coding practices.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Gender: Male (strictly as per operational requirement)
  • Education: Graduate degree in Healthcare Administration, Pharmacy, Nursing, or a related field. Professional coding certification (e.g., AAPC CPC, CIC) is a major advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum 3– 5 years of hands-on experience in medical insurance coordination and diagnostic/procedural coding within the Abu Dhabi experience strongly preferred.
  • Technical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of DoH billing codes (CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS) and UAE healthcare insurance portals (e.g., Shafafiya, Daman, Thiqa, NextCare, NAS).
  • Languages: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a strong advantage.
  • Skills: Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency in Hospital Information Systems (HIS).
