Full job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and qualified Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will perform laboratory testing, operate and maintain laboratory equipment, conduct instrument calibration, ensure quality control compliance, and provide accurate and timely test results to support patient diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests on blood, urine, and other clinical specimens.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and equipment.
  • Conduct instrument calibration, calibration verification, and preventive maintenance as per SOPs.
  • Perform daily quality control (QC) procedures and document results.
  • Analyze, validate, and report test results accurately and promptly.
  • Ensure proper specimen collection, labeling, processing, and storage.
  • Maintain calibration, maintenance, and quality control records.
  • Follow laboratory safety, infection control, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Assist with inventory management and laboratory stock control.
  • Ensure compliance with DHA, MOH, DOH, CAP, JCI, ISO 15189, and other applicable standards.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff, physicians, and healthcare professionals to ensure efficient laboratory operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
  • DHA/MOH/DOH License or Eligibility Letter.
  • Experience in operating and handling laboratory analyzers and diagnostic equipment.
  • Knowledge of laboratory quality control, calibration, and maintenance procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, or Molecular Diagnostics.
  • Familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
  • Experience with laboratory accreditation and quality management systems.
