Review patient medical records and assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes.

Ensure compliance with coding standards and insurance requirements. Prepare, submit, and follow up on insurance claims.

Verify documentation for completeness and accuracy before coding.

Resolve coding-related claim rejections and denials.

Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to clarify documentation when required.

Maintain confidentiality of patient records and medical information.

Stay updated with coding guidelines, healthcare regulations, and insurance policies.

Assist in improving revenue cycle management through accurate coding and timely claim submission.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in a healthcare-related field.

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Coder in a healthcare setting. Good knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and insurance claim processing.

Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and medical coding software.

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Good communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

Certification in Medical Coding is an advantage.

Experience with UAE health insurance systems and claim submission processes is preferred.
